Don Mitchell Obituary
He played the role of Mark Sanger in the series which ran on NBC from 1967 to 1975. He reprised the role in the made-for-TV reunion film "The Return of Ironside" in 1993 – his last TV appearance.
Other TV credits included appearances on "McMillan & Wife," "Wonder Woman," and the soap opera "Capitol."

I really liked Don Mitchell as Sanger in the TV series Ironside. He was "cool" , down to earth, affable, seemed to be a team player. Just all around good people.

Dear Don, I so enjoyed you on "Ironside". I love your character "Mark". I enjoyed how he and "Ironside" interacted together. I really wish that since I didn´t see the entire series the remaining four seasons should become available for purchase so that everyone who enjoy the show can see it too.

I loved the show Ironside. I watch the reruns whenever they are on. They don't make good shows like this anymore and never will again. Loved Don especially since he had the second most important role. So sad he is gone.

We were friends at LACC in the early 1960's. We started out as theatre arts majors. He got a part in ( I think ) Genet' s The Blacks on La Cienega. We hung out, liked jazz and laughter. I always thought I'd run into him but .. I don't have to tell anyone our age about that one. We're mortal .I thought this was just a dress rehearsal.

Mr.Mitchell presence on Ironside will never be forgotten. As a child that was a series I always watched. My condolences to the Mitchell family.
