To All of Fred's Family & Friends- Fred was a wonderful and happy man. I will never forget my childhood memories of his smiling face and loving personality. Lots of childhood memories come to mind. Pike Lake, counting his campaign signs on trips in our car around town and many more. Enjoy all the memories he has given you. They will come every day and he will stay alive within your hearts. He will always live inside all of you and your lives will continue to be lived through his guidance. We are fortunate to have shared time with Fred.

Dear Shirley, Joe, Robert, Tracy and Young Family, We are deeply saddened by your loss. Words are not always the best source of comfort at these times, but the love of family of friends - now that, that provides a fortress of strength. May that love and the memories shared together see you through this difficult time.
Our prayers are with you all.
Love always,
Kathy, Matt and Casey

Joyce,
I am so shocked and so sad. I can hardly believe that I was sitting next to the two of you a couple of days before. My prayers are with you and your children. You know how much I admire Fred, starting from the time that he was MY State Representative. I saw Betty Montgomery yesterday and gave her the sad news.

When I traveled to Dayton to visit relatives, I heard this news.
I knew him only as Mr. Young, since when I knew him I was only a teenager. Still, Mr. Young was pleasant to me and took the time to chat when we would meet, serving as a wonderful example of how we as people should treat each other.
Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and yours at this difficult time.

I clerked for Judge Young in 1996-1997. He was a kind boss, a patient mentor, and a fine judge. He was also a wonderful man, who was truly respected and admired by others. He will be greatly missed.
