WINTER HAVEN - Jesse Lee Singleton, 69, of Winter Haven, Fl died Monday, Feb. 20, 2012 at his residence as a result of renal failure.
He was born Sept. 15, 1942 in Auburndale, FL. He lived in Moultrie, GA for most of his younger years and attended Moultrie High School. He lived in Polk County most of his life. Jesse retired from GTE as a linesman. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Guam. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge.
He is preceded in death by: his parents, Willie "Bill" and HenryRetta Singleton; brother, John "JW" Singleton; sister, Reba "Lavince" Nipper; and brother, Chester Singleton. He is survived by: his wife, Joanne; daughter, Jolee Singleton; son, Lee (Alicia) Singleton; sister, Laura (James) Branch; sister-in-law, Kathy (Rodney) Holeman; brother-in-law, Joe Kramer (Jack); four grandchildren, Christopher, Dylan, Hunter and Savannah; and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00pm, Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Diabetes Assn. Condolences may be sent at www.oakridgefuneralcare.com
