Joseph DiRenza Obituary

Joseph F. DiRenza

Age 65, of Ocean City, MD and formerly of Newark, DE died Saturday, January 1, 2011 at Coastal Hospice At The Lake in Salisbury. He was born in Philadelphia and was the son of the late Joseph R. and Alice (Pharazyn) DiRenza.

Joseph was a purchasing agent for P.N.C. and was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church in Ocean City, MD. He was also a member of the Delaware Vietnam Leadership Program, the Administrative Management Society, Delaware Crime Stoppers, Junior Achievement and the VFW. He served in the Army during the war in Vietnam and was awarded the Purple Heart.

He is survived by his wife, Katherine M. DiRenza of Ocean City, MD; a daughter, Danielle DiRenza Johnson of Nescopeck, PA; two grandchildren, Tristen and Genevieve Johnson.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 12 noon, on Thursday, January 6, at St. Luke Catholic Church 9903 Coastal Highway in Ocean City with Father Richard Smith officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour before the service. Burial will be in Delaware Veterans Cemetery in Millsboro.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Coastal Hospice at the Lake, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802.
