RALPH McCRAE

Ralph S. McCrae born April 6, 1935, went home July 23, 2012 unexpectedly from complications of a stroke. Born in St. Paul, Minnesota he held a Masters Degree from Drake University. He was employed as a manager at Control Data for twenty years. Later, he became an Instructor at the University of Texas El Paso in the Computer Information Department. He joined an ELCA Church arriving at El Paso, but shortly became aware of the work of the Ysleta Lutheran Mission. He began attending worship services at San Pablo and in 1991 joined the congregation, being convinced that the Holy Spirit led him there. Ralph held a number of positions with the church and mission the latest being its President. With the establishment of the YLM Human Care as an entity he was elected its President and served as such until his death. Preceded in death by his parents, Doris and Sidney McCrae and stepmother Pearle McCrae. Survived by wife, Karen McCrae; children, Dave (Michelle) McCrae, Julie (Dale) Johnson; grandchildren, Matthew and Brandon Potting; sister, Carol (Don) Law; nephew, Mark (Debbie) Law; niece, Cindi Law, close friends, Roberto Medina, Michael Ruiz, and pastors, Karl and Steven Heimer. Visitation Thursday, July 26, 2012 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Mt. Carmel Funeral with a prayer service at 7:00pm. Funeral Service Friday, July 27, 2012 at 11:00am San Pablo Lutheran Church, 301 S.
