Though I was an unknown, Ruth Graham treated me like a friend. She always, without fail, answered my letters with a note. How many famous Christians would take the time to do such a thing. She placed her blessing on a book I wrote about Jimmy and Sophie Graham, missionaries in China who were like the dearest of grandparents to Ruth when she was a child. I look forward to see Ruth in that better place. I have a feeling that she has already met my mom who passed far too young from cancer.

I can't imagine a better wife for Billy Graham. She kept him grounded, raised his 5 children, provided a loving home for her family and him, wrote books and poetry, and had a spunky sense of humor. Both Ruth and Billy are gifts from God to a hurting world, and will never be forgotten. I love you both. Thank you so much for the joy and inspiration.

I am so touched by her life story. Her life was so real, so dedicated, so meaningful and so loving. I believe because of her wisdom and positive influnce to her husband, Billy Graham, to light the world for Jesus like no one has ever done by pulling down barriors and uniting people. I love the strength to be a Loving but strong Mother taking care of the home so her husband could make a difference. And by the way, her name is so special and from the Bible - her Missionary parents must of felt her calling by giving her this powerful name!

What a beautiful, and glowing face Ruth Graham has in her memorial photograph, the outward burst from her heart filled with our Lord & Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ! May she continue to bless her beloved husband, Billy, as he remembers her devotion and love for him and their children. May we all recall and follow her footsteps in the way of the Lord!

Ruth was someone I felt I knew , even though I had never met her. It was at one of Bill's crusades in Asheville, NC (back in the 60's),that I accepted Christ. I thank Ruth for allowing her husband to be available to preach the gospel. I know that there were times when she must have felt alone, but God gave her the grace to carry on in spite of her husband's absences. What a legacy!

Dear Billy Graham and family, I am saddened to hear of the loss of Ruth who was such a remarkable woman; one who exemplied a true Christian woman's attire - she wore it so well and graciously. She was so unselfish in giving up some of her dreams to make room for her husband's calling, which she supported with all her heart enveloped in love. And to Billy Graham, I would like to say, "thank you for submitting to God's calling in your life and for all the unselfish extra hours you put in to the reach so many lost souls. Perhaps T.V. was invented specifically with you in mind, so you could come into our homes and reach those from all corners of the earth!" God bless....

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Ruth Grham's beautiful book of poetry about her life with Billy is so precious.I read it with tears and gratitude. Had she not been the incredible woman of God that she was, Billy's work might have been much less. She has been such a wonderful living example to all women. She truly loved and lived her life fully commited to further the cause of Christ. I am so thankful to have lived at a time I could be blessed by the selfless sacrafice both Ruth and Billy provided. My husband and I were both save at His Crusade in San Diego in the 1960's. Praise God!

Dear Reverend Billy Graham and Family: I know that no words can relieve the pain you are going through because of the death of such a wonderful woman as Ruth. The two of you are such a find example of what marriage should be. I first heard you when I was 18 years old and pregnant with my first child. I have never had anything touch me like you did that night at the old Atlanta Cracker Baseball Field in Atlanta, Georgia.
I just lost the son that I was pregnant with when I went to hear you that night in Atlanta, Ga. I know how much you miss Ruth because I cannot get my son out of my mind. The only thing that helps us at a time like this is to know that they have gone to a better place and someday we will join them. Bless you all. Peggy Brown (Snellville, Georgia)

Dear Family...
I am home in Heaven, dear ones;Oh,so happy And so bright There is a perfect joy and Beauty in this everlasting light. All the Pain and grief is over,Ever restless Tossing passed;I am now at peace Forever,Safely home in Heaven at last.Did You wonder I so calmly Trod the valley of The shade? Oh! But Jesus love Illumined,Every dark and fearful Glade. And he came Himself to meet me in The way so hard to tread; And with Jesus` Arm to lean on,Could I have one doubt or Dread? Then you must not grieve so Sorely, for I love you dearly still;`Try To look beyond earth`s shadows,Pray and Trust our Father`s Will. There is work Still waiting for you,So you must not Idly stand;Do it while life remaineth-You Shall rest in Jesus` land,When that work Is all completed,He will gently call you Home;Oh the rapture of that meeting,Oh The joy to see you come! My love to you all...waiting for you

I came to know the Lord after hearing Billy Graham preach on TV at a crusade while I was a college student in the early 1970's.
Since then, our family has all come to know the Lord, and now, our grandchildren are being reared in the faith! What a wonderful saviour we serve.
God bless your entire family until the Lord brings you together again in His Kingdom! I know you will miss your Mom, but she's is with our most loving, compassionate savior in heaven, a MUCH better place.

My sincere expression of Love to all of the Graham Family. Your Mother & Rev.Graham,in my opinion, have presented God's mission to the world, for all of my life. I have listened or watched Rev. Graham's messages, anytime that I knew they were on,(as my Mom & Dad did) for many years. Without a doubt, Billy was given gifts from God,& his wife Ruth was part of his spiritual gift. I always felt God's spirit in every single Rev.Billy Graham's Message & know that God is with you All now. Thank You all for letting God lead you, as you have & can, to help this world be a more loving, peaceful, Christian world. In God I Trust! Blessings!
