We would like to express our deepest condolences and also let the Sullivan Family know that we recently made a small donation to the Wounded Warrior Project in honor of US Navy Chief Petty Officer Sean Patrick Sullivan. We recognize that this is a humble tribute, but we wanted you to know that it is heartfelt and made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals in the youth hockey community and beyond. To the Sullivan family - My son, Ben Cogar, age 10, recently ran in the Soldier Marathon at Ft. Benning, as part of a school function. He had the privilege to run in honor of "Sully" and wear his picture on his chest. We want you all to know what an honor it was for him to run in Sean's honor. We also sat down as a family and read about Sean on the internet. What a wonderful man he was! I know he was a gift to you and we want you to know how grateful we are to him and all of the military who help keep us safe. Thank you for raising such a wonderful son and husband. Our thoughts and prayers are forever with the Sullivan family. Sully was about as genuine a friend and a sailor anyone can ask for. He is will always be in my helicopter as my crew chief watching over me and keeping me out of trouble. I am better for having known and served with him and my wife Caren and I will miss him terrible. Sean was an absolute model person for all to strive to be. We are all better having him in our lives.
