In loving memory of a wonderful, beautiful, talented fierce dedicated actress. Three Oscar nominations in her first three films. Amazing. If not for Goldwyn she would have had many more Oscars. But Shadow of a Doubt is my favorite. We love you and miss you always Tess. Thank you for your grace and unforgettable performances.

It occurred to me not so long ago that Teresa Wright was an actress in both of my favorite films. “The Best Years of our Lives” early in her career and “Somewhere in Time” at the end of her career. In both films she was mesmerizing to watch. Terrific actress!!

I love watching Teresa Wright! Her performances mesmerize me, because she becomes the character that she's portraying.
I re-watch her movies several times every year, looking for subtle little nuances that maybe I've missed.
I love her in Enchantment!
The scene in The Best Years of Our Lives, where she's sitting at the kitchen table after Dana Andrews has just phoned her, is heartbreaking.
I wish I would have known Teresa Wright, I know in my heart that she was a Sweet, Kind, Compassionate person. I see it in her eyes.
Peace and Love to all that are still missing her.

Without a "Shadow of a Doubt", one of the very best. My only regret is that it took me so long to discover this marvelous actress. A great actor and human being. Teresa may not be regarded as one of the biggest stars in Hollywood, but certainly the brightest one to my eyes. Love her every movie. Very few actors have been in so many greatest movies ever made like Teresa. Her record on Oscar (three nominations for first three movies and one win) is likely to stay forever.
Today is Aug 4th, 2015. Teresa is today's star in TCM's Summer under the Stars. What a treat to watch her movies all day long.

When Ms. Wright is on the screen, all the other actors just fade away. She was the most talented, and beautiful lady to ever grace the silver screen. I can watch "Shadow of a Doubt" and "The Best Years of our Lives", over and over again, she is just so good. Heaven has claimed a lovely soul. Thank you Ms. Wright for your movie legacy, and for all the joy you brought to others with your magnificent performances, that are still enjoyed today. Teresa Wright was a lovely and talented lady. She was an actress that brought depth and meaning to every role she played. I think she was a pioneer in the business, as she helped pave the way for women's rights and concerns. Bravo to her for her courage in taking a stand and not being allowed to be used in silly ways by the industry. I was greatly saddened when I heard of her passing. There has and never will be another actress or human being the likes of Ms. Wright again. Her grace and charm will be missed in today's Hollywood. May God richly bless her family today and always at the passing of a really great women.

For Teresa...
You starred with Brando,
Cooper and many of the greats.
You always held your own.
WEEP NOT FOR ME
Do not weep for me when I no longer dwell among the wonders of the earth; for my larger self is free, and my soul rejoices on the other side of pain...on the other side of darkness.
Do not weep for me, for I am a ray of sunshine that touches your skin, a tropical breeze upon your face, the hush of joy within your heart and the innocence of babes in mothers arms.
I am the hope in a darkened night. And, in your hour of need, I will be there to comfort you. I will share your tears, your joys, your fears, your disappointments and your triumphs.
Do not weep for me, for I am cradled
in the arms of God. I walk with the angels, and hear the music beyond the stars.
Do not weep for me, for I am within you;
I am peace, love, I am a soft wind that caresses the flowers. I am the calm that follows a raging storm. I am an autumns leaf that floats among the garden of God, and I am pure white snow that softly falls upon your hand.
Do not weep for me, for I shall never die, as long as you remember me...
with a smile and a sigh.

Talent, class, and professionalism to name just a few attributes of this wonderful actress. With all the hype and over- the- top everything in Hollywood today, it's just plain GREAT to see how a real, caring outlook on life can have such an impact for GOOD on the screen. Thanks to Teresa forever for bringing such beautiful humanity to ALL her roles. And if any aspiring actress needs pointers on how to really evoke love AND attraction in a love scene, check out the longing glances and kiss between Dana Andrews and Ms. Wright in the closing scene of Best Years of Our Lives. WOW! Blessed are we with Teresa Wright's contributions.

A number of years ago, I first saw Teresa Wright on-screen in “Mrs. Miniver”. Her performance was so inspirational, but her final few scenes moved me so deeply and have stayed with me to this day. I have seen many more of her films since and have realised what a true master of her craft she was. She seemed to put a lot of her “real” self into the roles she played and it’s because of this, she has become, and will remain, my favourite actress. (I guess it’s also the reason I’ve had a crush on her since that first viewing of “Mrs. Miniver”).
Ms. Wright, thankyou so much for the many great memories you have left us – “Enchantment”, “The Little Foxes”, “The Best Years Of Our Lives”, “The Pride Of The Yankees”, and the list goes on. Thankyou also, for being such a beautiful lady – in all senses of the word. Thankyou for being you.
I was very much saddened to hear of your passing. My belated, heart-felt condolences to your family. We have unfortunately lost you down here, but Heaven has gained an Angel. Rest in peace, lovely lady.

I first fell in love with the talent of Teresa Wright when I was 8 years old. I have always admired her and will miss her. I have a shoe box of letters I wrote to her when I was a child but never knew where to send them since this was in the late 1970's. She touched my life in a positive way. I wish I had known her

I do believe that Ms. Wright was one of the first feminists ever, assuredly the first in show business, as evidenced by her refusal to pose for "cheesecake" photos.
For me, Teresa Wright was the woman who could express more emotion in her face in ONE scene of a film, than most actors could in an entire movie.
She was beautiful, sweet and had the most glorious, infectious laughter of anyone EVER.
She remains my all time favorite actress (well, tied with Natalie Wood actually) and will be remembered by me ....Always.
Love from....Another Teresa born on October 27th of another year. R.I.P. sweet lady

I'm sorry that a beautiful actress is gone. The Best Years Of Our Lives is my FAVORITE movie(I've watched it at least 12 times) and the reason is Teresa Wright. She was the BEST and always will be. I just wish that I could have met her.

Although I never had the pleasure of meeting Teresa Wright, I learned a little about her from my grandfather, William, which was her uncle. But I did have the pleasure of meeting her father, Arthur, and I enjoyed talking to him about Teresa. I also remember hearing mom and dad talk about her and I have a picture of her with Aunt Kay and Uncle Donald while visiting her in NY. I've always loved old movies and I especially enjoyed her movies. She was definitely the girl next door type. And I've also had the pleasure of "meeting" her daughter just a few months before her mother passed away. I am looking forward to getting to know that side of the family even more.

I never got to meet this cousin of mine but I heard, from my mom, about childhood memories shared. She was her own woman; independent, private, highly talented, and knew what was really important. She entertained hundreds of thousands and will continue to do so as long as her films are shown. I wish I had met her but I feel I knew her through all I've read, seen, and heard of her.

It is amazing to me that there was barely a mention of her passing anywhere. I think I found one little tiny paragraph in People magazine. That is SHOCKING to me! What a beautiful and talented actress she was. Unlike many in the acting profession, she seemed to lack pretense. I love the fact that she never played the vixen. She stood for something that is completely lost in our world today. You can watch a movie of hers and feel better afterwards than before you started it. My favorite movies of hers are "Shadow of a Doubt." and "Pride of the Yankees." Her talent was overlooked and underappreciated. She was one of the great ones, and unfortunately there are few left.
