Sandra and all of Jim's family. You have our tenderest thoughts and prayers. As many, many others, we'll miss him but we know he is in a much better place. The last lines of the poem, "High Flight" sum up Jim's life so beautifully. He has truly "put out his hand and touched the face of God.

Sandra, John and family .......I wish to extend my condolences to you for the loss of Jim. I knew and served with him in the 188th Tac. Ftr. Group for 13 years from 1967 to 1980 when Jim retired. He was the ultimate example of a caring pilot and officer. I was the Maintenance Squadron Commander and deployed with Jim many times. He was always a joy to be and we had many fun times together. Jim was highly thought of by the members of my squadron and he always understood that he did not fly without the maintenance people doing their job. I have known many pilots in the USAF/ANG and cannot think of one that stood taller than Jim. I an sadden by his passing, may God bless Jim and all of the family. James W. Glasser Lt. Col. (Retired)

Dear Sandra, Uncle John and Family,
Our hearts ache for you. Uncle Jim was such a hero to me. A true"Man's Man". Yet, a loving spirit to everyone he happened across. And one who, in the next go-around, I hope to be his wing man. Godspeed, Uncle Jim.

One of the good guys, Jim was a joy to know and work with. If he was your friend, he was your friend in the richest way possible. Always there, always caring. While we deeply regret the loss, it means a lot that he is no longer suffering and is in a much better place celebrating good health and eternal life with good friends that have gone on before. Truly will be missed but fondly remembered!!
