I had the pleasure of meeting RJW at the top of the hill on the road outside his home in Iowa in 1993. I was on a motorcycle trip from Ohio to Alaska, in search of myself and my life. On a whim I stopped at his house simply to meet him, if possible and tell him how much I enjoyed and appreciated my reading of "Bridges". Robert was such a gifted writer. I cried so many tears reading "Bridges" and A Thousand Country Roads". So true, Such Certainty comes but once in lifetime.

I have just been shocked senseless. I decided today to take a walk down memory lane and watch my copy of THE BALLAD OF MADISON COUNTY. My sister and I made the trip to the BRDGES years ago. I lost her to that dreaded desease in 2015. So I was a lttle Leary about bringing up memories. But even though I shed a few tears from the memories, I decided I would finally see if I could finally write the man who filled my heart and shelves with his music and literature.
