Stacee Etcheber Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 6, 2017.
From the Las Vegas Review-Journal’s tributes to those who died in the Oct. 1, 2017 music festival shooting:

Stacee Etcheber, a mother and a hair stylist from Marin County, California, is among the victims killed at the Route 91 Harvest country music festival, the San Francisco Police Department confirmed Tuesday.

Etcheber, 50, was with her husband Vinnie, a San Francisco police officer, at the Las Vegas music festival, according to a statement from San Francisco Police Chief William Scott.

“With heavy hearts, the San Francisco Police Department today mourns the passing of Stacee Etcheber,” Scott said in the statement posted on the department’s Facebook page. “Stacee was taken in a senseless act of violence as her husband, SFPD Officer Vinnie Etcheber, heroically rushed to aid shooting victims in Las Vegas on Sunday. Stacee was a beloved mother of two young children and a well-loved hair stylist in Marin County. As we grieve, we ask the public to keep the Etcheber family in their thoughts, along with all the victims of this tragic incident.”

My heart is heavy in shock and disbelief. I was blessed to have known her as a little girl. Even then she was so vibrant and loving. With her long flowing blonde hair, she was like a little angel and I felt such joy in her presence.
I can't imagine how devastating this has been for her entire family. My love and my prayers go out to each of you

Heartfelt sympathy goes out to family, friends and all the lives she has been such an important part of. Looking back reflect on the laughter, smiles and friendship she brought to all of you. Sincerely, Ali

Stacee, my French Family Cousin. Words cannot express my shock and sadness of your murder. I have to forgive, share, explore, and love to mourn your loss in this national tragedy. We should feel sorrow, but not descend under its oppression.
Hatred is corrosive of a person's wisdom and conscience; the mentality of enmity can poison a nation's spirit, instigate brutal life and death struggles, destroy a society's tolerance and humanity, and block a nation's progress to freedom and democracy. Liu Xiaobo

I met Stacee Etcheber in 2007. She was my hair stylist. I saw her every month for ten years. We knew each others values, humor and family members. I adored her. She adored me. Stunned, I learned today of her loss as her photo and name came across the television screen as one of the victims in the Las Vegas shooting. I mourn for her beloved family. Her vivacious nature was captivating. Her stellar resolve significant. Her stories never ending. You beautiful woman, Stacee. You deserved to grow old with us all. You are loved. ❤
