Gwendolyn Sisk Obituary

Gwendolyn SISK Passed away peacefully on August 15. Born on June 16, 1923 in Couer d'Alene, Idaho, she married John P. Sisk, who was a writer and professor at Gonzaga University. She raised six children in Spokane, Washington. Later she migrated to Seattle to be closer to her family. Gwen loved literature, art, gardening, birdwatching, and walking endless miles up and down Seattle hills. She now smiles down on the large family that survives her. In addition to her children Eric, Kitty, Gavin, Toney, Teresa, and Paule, she is also survived by seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Martin De Porres Shelter at http://www.ccsww.org/stmartin. She is with John now. Holy Mary, pray for her, and for all of us. A memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1411 1st Ave W, Seattle, WA, on Wednesday, August 22, at 12:00 p.m. Arrangements by Butterworth-Arthur Wright Chapel.
