It was a great honor to know Harry and the great passion he had for the SAL. I also know that he was one of the best Legionairs I have ever met. Harry gave me a gavel that he made in his wood shop and presented to me about a year and a half ago. As First District SAL Commander this is the only gavel I have used or will use until my term expires it means a great deal to me. Thank you Harry you will not be forgotten

To the Zuvich Family,

We had the pleasure of meeting and interviewing Harry last year about his WWII experiences. Harry was a "Class Act" and and "Honorable" human being who will truly be missed. We were very fortunate to be able to get his stories on film that he may be able to live on to tell them to another generation.

Sincerely,
All of us here at Lakeshore Public Television

Our thoughts, prayers, and deepest sympathy go out to the Zuvich family. Harry will be sorely missed in the tambura community of the USA, and particularly here in the midwest. Harry and the stars were particularly an inspiration to me personally as a musician, and I will truly miss him. "Your music lives within me..."

I loved going to see the Star Serenaders perform from the time I was a little girl. I can still hear the song in my head that the group unfortunately didn't record before Mr. Refkin died, Vraz Baz (sp?); we always called it Buzz, Buzz. The group touched so many lives with their music, and I'm grateful that mine was one. My sympathy to the Zuvich family and all of the Star Serenaders loyal fans.

Dear Kuma Florence and Christine:

I am so sorry for you loss! I cannot even think of Kum Harry without remembering the years of great "Star" sounds. He and the three other "Serenaders" have left wonderful memories for so many people. Harry, Dick, Steve and Gerry delivered smiles, joy, tears, laughs and song for so many people that they will all live in our hearts for eternity. Kum Harry, with the others, leave footprints on this earth that will be cherished for generations.

The "Star Serenaders" were a force that went beyond the boundaries of ethnic pride and they shared the music of life and love and happiness with all of us.

Beyond all, I pray that you hear him singing from heaven with the rest of the angels.

Dearest Florence, Christine, Dana, and Family,
On behalf of my parents, Steve and Helen Deanovich, and my sisters, Kathy and Connie and our families,
Please accept our deepest sympathies on the loss of dear Harry. Harry was a part of our Dad's family long before Kathy, Connie, and I came along because of the Star Serenaders. Some of our fondest memories were watching the Stars play the music they loved so much! And having the Stars play at my wedding in 2000 made the day all the more special for me and Ned. Through their music, the Stars touched so many people's lives and made so many people happy! They crossed ethnic boundaries and were the original Ambassadors of Music to all people of the Chicagoland area. Words are not adequate to express our feelings of loss to you because Harry was part of our extended family, too. And we grieve with you. But please know that Harry and all of you will be in our thoughts and prayers forever! May his memory be eternal.
