Fondly recall being mentored by Lindsay at Melville Cricket Club.
Blessed to have been able to open the batting with him.
Best wishes with your next innings Lindsay.

Feeling distraught hearing this news ...without a doubt your perseverance with both Auckland and New Zealand cricket really spearheaded some much needed changes. The boys owe you so much, NZ cricket would be lost without you. All our love and sympathy to your wonderful wife Robyn...Lindsay we all are going to miss you so terribly, batting away tears as I´m writing this.
But sadly seems some of our cricketing greats are going to heaven...jeez that must be a helluva match going on up there!

It was a great pleasure to reacquaint with you Lindsay when you were at the helm of the Blackcaps and also at Clearwater Golf Club.
We always had that conversation about you catching me out at 2nd slip for ND and me being given not out off Scotty
I had to dodge the ball as it was being thrown at me with a few choice words mixed in.
Your friendship and contribution to cricket was immense and it is very sad in your passing.
Sincere condolences to Robyn and your family

It was a pleasure to get to know Lindsay when he joined the Mahurangi East Bowling Club. I enjoyed playing bowls with him and against him. I will remember his thoughtful Imput he willingly gave to me as bowls manager this past season and to the club. My deepest sympathy to his family.

A shock to hear the news. Lindsay made some great contributions to NZ Cricket and the Black Caps in his role of Manager. He was respected and he had the interests of the players and the staff front and centre of everything he did in that role. He was forceful when needed, but with the purpose of making sure that things were right for the lads. He had a dry sense of humour and it sometimes took a while to appreciate its subtlety. It was a privilege to know Lindsay and to spend time with him in the cricketing space. His family was massively important to him and Robyn was his anchor - he will be greatly missed. I have included a photo of Lindsay in the BC's whites in Sth Africa when he was needed to be 12th man (here helping to hydrate Brendon McCollum) - he loved the opportunity.

It was a pleasure knowing you Lindsay and so sad to hear your life has been cut short. You would have enjoyed the half volleys I bowled to you......thanks so much for all you have done for cricket in New Zealand. My thoughts are with your family....john Cushen

This is a tough one, just gotta say our time abroad touring with Lindsay was some of the greatest experiences of my life.
A real down to earth, straight shooter - this man was really at the pinnacle of our sporting elite. He has been an integral part of the drive to transform NZ Cricket and this is reflected in the spectacular successes being experienced of late.
Definitely not going to be the same without you buddy, all our love and prayers to his family at this difficult time.
