Kearns Allen W. Kearns Sr., 56, went to be with the Lord on December 18, 2014. He was born to James Edward Kearns and Emma Jean Kearns on January 25, 1953 in Columbus, Ohio. He was a long time member of Calvary Tremont Baptist Church and retired as a State worker. He is preceded in death by father James E. Kearns. He leaves to cherish in his memories mother, Emma Jean Kearns; son, Allen W. Kearns Jr.; daughters, Aleica Kearns, Ayiesha Posey; former wives, Jill L. Kearns (Lomax), Debra A. Dukes (Kearns); brothers, Greg Kearns (Portia), Keith Kearns, Ronald Vinson; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Service will be held on Monday, December 29, 2014 at 11 a.m. at GARY MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 867 S. James Road, Columbus, OH 43227. Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Kidd Trula Kidd, 88, of Pickerington, died on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Mount Carmel East Hospital in Columbus. Born on September 20, 1926 to the late John and Chloe Moore, Trula was a member of the 20th Street Baptist Church in Huntington, WV. She is survived by her children, David (Linda) Kidd, Sandra (Larry) Bartholow, Dottie (Duffy) Justice, and Patty Kidd; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; nephew, Tommy (Irene) Moore; and many other nieces and nephews. Trula was preceded in death by her husband Gaylord Joseph Kidd, Sr., son Roger Owen Kidd, Sr., step-son Gaylord Joseph Kidd, Jr., grandchildren Roger Owen Kidd, Jr., William Scott Bartholow, and Daniel Kidd, sisters Ruby Vanscroy, Helen Waldron, Lucille Cunningham, Altha Adkins, Elizabeth Wade, and Virginia Hale. Friends may visit from 9-10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 550 Hill Rd. Knecht, Annette Denise  
Knecht Annette Denise Knecht, of Garden City, Missouri, was born June 18, 1971 in Marysville, Ohio the daughter of Floyd John and Florence Louise (McManus) McHeinley. She departed this life on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at her home at the age of 43 years, 6 months and 3 days. On March 4, 1994, Annette was united in marriage to Kevin William Knecht in Las Vegas, Nevada. Annette was employed as a Quality Control Assistant at the Wal-Mart Distribution Center #6065, Harrisonville, Missouri. She enjoyed gardening and growing Tulips, doing charity work, reading, especially horror books and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Trina Gingerich. Annette is survived by her husband, Kevin Knecht of the home; a son, Andrew Gingerich and wife, Janice, Columbus, Ohio; three daughters, Amanda Mitchell and husband, Chris, State of Virginia, Hannah Miller and husband, Darrell, Hartville, Ohio, Jennifer Knecht and fiancee, Justin Terry, Garden City, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Jasmine, Annabella, Ashley, Sebastian, Lucas, Tyler and Bryan; a sister, Linda Hunter and husband, Steve, Marysville, Ohio; other relatives and many friends. Cremation. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the CASS COUNTY CREMATION SERVICE, Harrisonville, Missouri.

Kosec, Dorothy Catherine  
Kosec Dorothy Catherine Kosec left this earth on December 11, 2014 after a full and energized life of 101 years. She will be dearly missed. Born July 21, 1913, in Galion, Ohio, one of eight children of Elizabeth and Maurice Cotter, she grew up in Worthington, Ohio, graduating from St. Mary's High School, Columbus, Ohio. She attended Ohio University, Athens, Ohio. During WWII, she worked for the Navy Department in Washington, D.C. There she met her husband of 55 years, Frank Kosec, a medic at Bethesda Hospital. They married in 1943 after Frank served in Hawaii and then settled in Columbus, Ohio to raise their family. Dorothy worked for the IRS for 30 years, retiring to take up golf and ceramics. In 2008 she moved to Naples, Florida, near her son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Lindy. Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband and all seven of her siblings. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Virginia and Robert Guy, Denver, CO; and her son and daughter-in-law, Michael Kosec and Lindy Bloom, Naples, FL. Her grandchildren, who fondly called her the "Energizer Bunny" include Robert Guy II and wife, Linda, Omaha, NE, Mark Guy and wife, Micah, Denver, Debra Guy and husband, Ron Martinez, Denver, Amy Guy, Denver, Brooke Bloom, Delaware, OH. Her great grandchildren, who called her Grammy Dot, include Hayden, Carson, Torin and Asher. Visitation will be at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd., Columbus, OH on December 28, 2014, from 2-6 p.m. with a prayer service at 5:30 p.m. The funeral mass will be held at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 1088 Thomas Lane, Columbus, on December 29 at 10:30 a.m. to be followed by burial at Resurrection Cemetery, 9571 North High Street, Columbus. Koreckis Helen Erjavec Koreckis, 77, of Columbus, died Sunday, December 21, 2014 at home surrounded by family and friends. She was born September 25, 1937 in Zagreb, Yugoslavia to the late Ivo and Olga (Robak) Erjavec. She was a 1955 graduate and Salutorian of Cleveland's East High School. She was a member of MOAA, Kiwanis, MENSA and the Roads Scholar Organization. She is preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband Paul H. Koreckis and sister Dorothy Huber. She is survived by her children, Michael Koreckis, Karen Duncan and Paula Brennan; siblings, John Erjavec and Anita Hook; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Helen enjoyed life and lived it to its fullest up to the very end. Kabelka, Kenneth Jacob  
Kabelka Kenneth Jacob Kabelka They are not long, the days of wine and roses: Out of a misty dream. Our path emerges for awhile, then closes Within a dream. -Ernest Dowson Kenneth Jacob Kabelka, age 86, died December 15, 2014, at Columbus, Ohio. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Melba Holder Kabelka; daughter, Karen (Scott) Hartle; son, Karl Franz (Marita) Kabelka of Columbus; grandchildren, Anne Marie and Laura Hartle, and Karl Franz and Johannes Kabelka; sisters, Dorothy Keller of Oak Ridge, Tennessee and Margaret Guilkey of Clayton, California. He was preceded in death by his father Karl Franz, his mother Marie, and his brother Karl Franz. He worked for the Huntington National Bank for 41 years and retired in 1987 as Executive Vice President. Under his supervision he directed Huntington's expansion into branch banking, and helped make Huntington the first major bank to adopt automation and computer technology. He also assisted with a number of affiliated bank acquisitions, and served as the bank's Senior Lender. He was a member of Clinton Heights Lutheran Church. He was a long-time member of Community Lodge, Free and Accepted Masons, and received the 33rd honorary degree as a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite. He was a past Commander and Chief of Scioto Consistory, and a member of the Red Cross of Constantine. He served as Treasurer of the Aladdin Temple and the Aladdin Crippled Children's Hospital Assn. He graduated from the College of Business Administration at The Ohio State University in 1951, and the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin in 1961. He was a Life member of The Ohio State University Alumni Association, the Buckeye Boosters, the Buckeye Club and the President's Club. He served as President pro-tem of the Columbus Technical Institute (Columbus State Community College), and was instrumental in starting that school as its first chairman and long-time member of the Board of Trustees. He was past president and member of the board of the American Institute of Banking, the Financial Executives Institute, the Underground Parking Commission for the State of Ohio, and the Central Ohio Navy League. He served on the boards of the Ohio Housing Finance Agency, the Ohio Masonic Home, the Ohio Banker's Association, and several corporations. During the Korean War he served in the United States Armed Forces as an Officer in the United States Coast Guard. He was an ardent Buckeye Sports fan, a devoted family man, a lover of grandkids, family dogs, classical music and draft beer. Friends may call at the SOUTHWICK-GOOD & FORTKAMP FUNERAL CHAPEL, 3100 N. Kallies, Stanton Dale  
Kallies Stanton Dale Kallies passed away on December 18, 2014. Stanton was preceded in death by Patricia, his wife of 67 years, this past September. He was also preceded by children Steve Ronnie Nancy (Marvin) Thompson and Kathy (Paul) Becker. He is survived by his son, John (Melanie) Kallies; in addition to many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Stan was born and raised in Brice, Ohio. Stan married his "high school sweetheart" and they lived their entire lives in Groveport. He worked for Omar Bakery in their early years before getting a job with Columbus & Southern Ohio Electric. He left C&SOE and bought Johnson Disposal in 1957, making it a very successful business before selling it in 1968. He went back to work at C&SOE in 1966, working there until he retired. Stan was a member of the Knights of Pythias and enjoyed traveling to lodge conventions throughout the United States and Canada. The years made travel too difficult but the friends he made in those travels were always dear to him. Stan also enjoyed his Wednesday evening gathering at Shades and very much appreciated how good Shades has been to our family. Stan's obit could not be complete without a very special thank you to offices of Dr James Soldano and Melinda Pavlechco. Thank you for the many years of care on a professional level; but especially for all the times the care went far beyond any reasonable expectation. Stan and Pat held you in the highest regard. Viewing will be held Tuesday, December, 23 from 11 a.m. 1 p.m. and resuming at 3-5 p.m at the MYERS-WOODYARD FUNERAL HOME, 587 Main St, Groveport. There will be a Knights of Pythian ceremony at 5 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 5:30 p.m. Pastor Matt Cox officiating.
