Lewis, William Hobart "Bill"  
Lewis William Hobart "Bill" Lewis, 88, of Tecumseh Island, Indian Lake, OH, passed away, Thursday morning, May 28, 2015 at his home. Bill was born on January 23, 1927 in Mansfield, OH to the late Hobart H. and Dorothy Mae Roberts Lewis. He is preceded in death by a grandson Timothy Lewis. He and the former Elizabeth Lea Erbach eloped on August 20, 1948 in Newport, KY, and she survives along with three children, Leslie Christine Zajic, William Webster (Karen) Lewis and Sharon Lea (John) Shultz of Indian Lake, OH; seven grandchildren, William W. (Jonelle) Lewis, Jr., Trenton (Kayli) Lewis, Shah Liam Zajic, Erin (John) Brite, John Shultz, David (Heather) Shultz, and Holly (Rich) Linton, 16 great grandchildren, Owen Zajic, Ellie, Jack, Will and Conner Brite, Brooke-Lynn, Jade-Lynn, McKensee, William "Brody" Lewis, Audriena Lynn Smith, Caroline, Henry, Spencer and Catherine Linton, and Jack and Max Shultz; one sister, Jenny Caroline (Richard) Ebner of Springfield and Indian Lake; and several nieces and nephews. Bill studied Engineering at Ohio Wesleyan and the University of Cincinnati, graduating in 1953. He served his country during World War II from June 1945 to December 1946 in the Army Corps of Engineers. He was a licensed Civil Engineer and Surveyor. Bill's long career began at the Logan County Engineer's Office, and continued at the Ohio Highway Department, co-owned Bird & Lewis Lake Construction, worked at Knowlton Construction Company, Blount Brothers Construction, and retired after 24 years at Thomas & Marker Construction Company. He lived on the Indian Isles at Indian Lake since 1931 except for his time in the military and 4 years on a construction job in Sandusky, OH. His family built and operated Lewis Resort from 1940 to 1960 on Tecumseh Island. Bill was instrumental in the development of Tecumseh Island and Indian Isles, and was active in establishing zoning laws for Indian Isles. He was a member of ILDC, Indian Lake Watershed and assisted with water quality testing for over 20 years. ILDC named Bill outstanding citizen volunteer for his dedication to the water monitoring program in 2012. Bill was a 32nd Degree Mason, member of the Shrine and Scottish Rite. He was a member of the United States Power Squadron where he was a former national officer, commander of District #29, and was a senior navigator. Reverends Jim Ellington and Forrest Amidon will begin funeral service at 1 p.m. Monday, June 1, 2015 at Indian Lake Community Church, 120 Orchard Island Road, Russells Point, OH 43331, with visitation two hours prior to services. Burial is in Huntsville Cemetery with military rites performed by the Logan County Veterans Honor Guard. A luncheon will follow at the Indian Lake Community Fellowship Hall. Longbrake Vicky Cheryl Longbrake, 66, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015. She was born September 15, 1948 in Waverly, Ohio to the late Emmitt and Bonnie Lee. She was retired from Merck-Medco where she worked for over 15 years. Vicky was a lifetime member of Trinity Shepherd Light House Ministry. She enjoyed singing, traveling, and helping others less fortunate than herself. She spent countless hours volunteering at the Columbus Healthcare Center. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Philip Longbrake, brother Michael Hinty and sister Debbie Hinty. Vicky is survived by her son, Kenneth (Barbara) Brown; grandchildren, Karri (Christopher) Evans, Katelyn Brown, and Kristina (fiancé, Mitchell Casto) Brown; great-grandchildren, Kaileigh Evans, Christopher Evans, Jr., Hunter Evans, and Brooklynn Bowling; sisters, Alma Price, Janice Hinty, and Brenda (Mike) Lentz; beloved dogs, Missy, Char, and Charlie; and many other relatives and dear friends. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, June 1, 2015 at the SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio, where funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday. Loudermilk Kathryn Elizabeth Loudermilk, 96, of Centerburg, Ohio, went to be with her Lord on May 24, 2015 at Knox Community Hospital. Born August 20, 2015 to the late Lewis and Bertha Anderson. She was also preceded in death by husband Oliver "Tag" Loudermilk and a daughter Kathryn Patricia "Patty". She is survived by son, Oliver "Tag" (Janice) Loudermilk, Jr.; and daughter Sharon Loudermilk both of Centerburg; grandchildren, Patrick (Betty) Loudermilk, Stacy (Mike) McIntire, Jeffrey (Tracie) Loudermilk, Margaret (Jeff) Wood, John (Crystal) Shoemaker and Teresa (Charles) Jeffries; 12 great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. A devoted homemaker and her faith has always been a great part of her life. She will be missed by family and friends. Levingston Dorothy Levingston, 92, Pataskala, Ohio. Went home to be with the Lord on May 22, 2015. She was born January 1,1923 in Albany, GA to Tommie and Clarence Williford. She worked as a Seamstress for Walkers Men's Clothing Store until retirement. She was a member of Triedstone Missionary Baptist Church for over 60 years where she served as a Church Mother. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Levingston, mother Tommie Williford, father Clarence Williford, brothers Robert Lee Williford, Clarence Williford Jr., and Cleveland Williford and sisters Elaine Williford and Patricia Williford. Mother Levingston is survived by daughters, Deborah Levingston and Cynthia Bradley; grandchildren, Tiffany Levingston, Edward (Randy) Bradley and Robert Andrews; great-grandchildren, Malik Levingston, Jaycyn Tucker, and Randi Bradley. Lucktenberg, Sara Jean Newman  
Lucktenberg (Newman) Sara Jean Newman Lucktenberg, age 87, died peacefully Thursday, May 21, 2015. Jean was born on the family farm in Twin Township, Ross County, Ohio on April 2, 1928, to Robert W. and Sallie Shotts Newman, and was the youngest of five children. Jean graduated from Twin High School as class valedictorian. She earned a bachelor of science in Nursing (1950) and a master of Arts Education (1983) from The Ohio State University. Jean worked in various positions in nursing for more than 40 years, retiring as a school nurse from the Columbus Public Schools. On May 2, 1953, she married William Lucktenberg who predeceased her in 1999. Jean was a life member of the OSU Alumni Assoc., member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a Life Master bridge player. At the age of 53 she started playing golf and was a charter member of the retired school nurses golf group. Much fun was had at semi-annual outings to Lake Erie for many years. Jean also enjoyed playing board games with family, reading voraciously and traveling. She was a lifelong learner. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brother Robert E. (Opal), sisters Virginia (Dr. Clarence) Ash, Marjorie (James) Phillips, and brother-in-law Dr. George Lucktenberg. She is survived by three children, Janet (Bobby Cordova) and Tom Lucktenberg of Columbus, and Paul (Celeste) Lucktenberg of Edina, MN. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Chelsea of Los Angeles, Jonathan and Lindsay of Edina, MN; and several nieces and nephews.
