Adams-Herritt, Jeannie  
Adams-Herritt Jeannie Adams-Herritt, 68, of Sunbury, Ohio passed away July 18, 2016 at Mount Carmel St. Ann's in Westerville after battling several years of health issues. She was born in Columbus, Ohio to Eva (Basham) Van Houten of Galena and the late Herman Adams. She was a graduate of Linden McKinley High School class of 1966. She was a charter member of the FOE 3614 of Sunbury. On August 23, 1991 she married Al Herritt in Pigeon Forge, TN at a local feed mill. According to Al, the Padre was extremely busy that day and he and Jeannie were third in line. Jeannie thought the story about their wedding day was hilarious. Jeannie loved animals, particularly cats and dogs. She also read books on Native American History and books by Danielle Steele. She used to throw darts in tournaments at the Eagles in Sunbury and J & J Hitching Post in Delaware. She crocheted as well. More recently Jeannie loved curling up in her recliner with the dog and watching television. She'd watch Big Brother, Survivor, old black and white movies, and any of the English shows on WOSU, especially Downtown Abbey. In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by her loving Jack Russell, Angel; sisters, Violet Carpenter and Judy (Pete)Ratcliff; half-sister, Sharon (Ed) Cyrus; half-brothers, Herman Adams Jr. and John Adams; sister-in-law, Barb Adams; mother and father-in-law, Dick and Kathy Herritt; sisters-in-law, Candi (Greg) Blank and Janet Masters; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving lhasa apso Lucy, father and stepmother Herman and Barbara Adams, half-brother Jim Adams, stepfather Wilbur Van Houten, and brother-in-law Dick Carpenter. Friends may call on the family on Friday, July 22, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. at the DEVORE-SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, 637 North State Route 61, Sunbury, Ohio. Funeral services will be held there on Saturday at 1 p.m. with Bernard Basham officiating. Burial will follow in Galena Cemetery. Alexander, Barbara R.  
Alexander Barbara R. Alexander, of Dublin, OH, died on July 14, 2016 at Kobacker House at the age of 87. She was born in Los Angeles County, California, the only child of Lynn Ransdell and Thelma Burkhalter Ransdell. She grew up in Lafayette, Indiana and attended Purdue University where she met and married Frank Stuart Alexander, Jr. Frank and Barbara moved to Columbus in the early 1950's and raised their three children. Barbara was charming and vivacious. She was a loving wife and mother. She was a nationally known breeder/exhibitor of Yorkshire terriers, having served as Treasurer and Vice President of the national breed club, Yorkshire Terrier Club of America. She was a Lifetime Member of Central Ohio Kennel Club, serving as Board Member, Officer and Delegate to the American Kennel Club. She served as Award Chairman of the Mid-Ohio Chapter of the Owner-Handler Association. Barbara was a contributing member of The Sierra Club, The National Conservancy, The World Wildlife Fund, Common Cause, Emily's List, and The National Organization of Women. Barbara was preceded in death by her eldest son Frank Stuart Alexander III. She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Frank Stuart Alexander; daughter, Janet Alexander Finn (Michael Lawrence Finn); son, Steven Craig Alexander. (Li Zhang); grandchildren, Bethany Lynn Alexander, (Brian J. Darfus); Brendon James Alexander, Nina Alexander Snoke. (Corey Joseph Snoke) and Kristen Alexander. She is also survived by her three great-grandsons, Cooper Joseph Snoke, Gabriel Alexander Snoke and Braven Alexander Darfus. The family will receive friends and family at the RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High Street, Worthington, Ohio on Saturday, July 30 from 2-4 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 4 p.m.

Allen, Martina Sue  
Allen Martina Sue Allen, 52, passed away on Monday, July 25, 2016 in Columbus, OH. She was born in Columbus on January 9, 1964. Martina is preceded in death by her mother Ramona Allen. She is survived by her son, Zachary "Boogies" Allen-Thierry; boyfriend, John Thierry Jr.; sister, Tammy Roberts; niece, Yolanda Allen; dear friend, Marjorie Thierry; and many loving friends and church family. Martina enjoyed sunsets, nature walks and candlelight evenings with her Christian music. She loved helping her family and friends and was known for her intelligence and giving good advice. She was a confident, self-assured individual who enjoyed starting conversations and knew no strangers. She would be described as wise beyond her years, and had a classical quality about her. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Family will receive friends on Friday, July 29, 2016 from 12 noon-1 p.m. at Eastwood Seventh-day Adventist Church, 6400 S. Sunbury Rd., Westerville, OH 43081 followed by a Funeral Service at 1 p.m. She will be laid to rest at Blendon Central Cemetery. Arnold, Janaan Sullivan "Nan"  
Arnold Janaan "Nan" Sullivan Arnold. Nan Arnold was born in Dubuque, Iowa on July 14, 1924. She died on July 22, 2016 at Kobacker House from pancreatic cancer. Nan was a homemaker and took great pride in that job and in her family. She was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church for 47 years. Nan was extremely devoted to the rosary and the Blessed Virgin. Nan met her husband, Donald Joseph Arnold, while working at Savannah Ordinance Depot in Savannah, Illinois. During their 57 year marriage, they raised four children. Nan's greatest joy was spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. Nan was an avid reader, particularly of political and historic books. She was also concerned with the welfare of children, families and those having a disability. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Linda and Richard Evans, Joan Arnold and Ron Schultz, Kathleen and Mark Haberer, and Donald Arnold, Jr.; along with grandchildren, Gregory Evans, Catherine Schultz, Thomas, Brian and Mary Haberer, and John Arnold. The family will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Andrew Church in Upper Arlington with the interment beside her husband at Resurrection Cemetery. Baird, Harold "Lorenie"  
Baird Harold "Lorenie" Baird, age 78, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Mt. Carmel Medical Center. He is preceded in death by his parents Harold Luther and Pearl Ann (Williams) Baird. Lorenie is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Ruth; sons, Harold (Lois) Jr., Keith, Tracey (Diana), Stacey (Michelle); 11 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Ann Champ, Pearl "Jackie" Williams. He was a hardworking man and worked 2 full time jobs for 20 years. He worked for Westinghouse for 30 years, Sears for 20 years, and drove a school bus for the Columbus Public Schools for 5 years. Lorenie loved to play cards at the YMCA every Monday, he was also a fan of OSU football and watching his grandkids play football at Westfall. He also enjoyed sitting in his front yard waving at the cars that went by the house. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, where funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 10 a.m. with Pastor Mark Diemer officiating. Baker Lucille Emma "Lucy" Baker, age 84, of Centerburg, passed away July 26, 2016 at home surrounded by her family. Born in Columbus, OH May 24, 1932 to Kathryn Asay and Art Zimmerman and raised by her grandparents, Carl and Freda Hackman. Graduate of West High School. Formerly employed by Green Gables Restuarant, Big Bear Warehouse, Franklin County and Walmart Garden Center of Mt. Vernon. Former owner of B & C Waste Oil Co..Loved playing bingo at the Eagles in Delaware, OH. Survived by her children, Debra Rudolph, Robin (Greg) Martin, Kathy (Larry) Smith, Mike Rudolph, Tom (Nancy) Rudolph and John (Penny) Baker; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchldren; beloved pets, Dee Dee, Sandy, Diamond, Tinker Bell, Sweetie Pie, Snow, Pearl and Scaredy Cat. Preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert (2005), son Rick Rudolph (2006), one brother, two half-brothers, and 1 half-sister. Friends may call at the JOHNSON-MELICK-MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 49 W. Baker William Dale Baker, age 81, passed away on July 25, 2016, at his residence. He was born on July 21, 1935 in Seattle, WA to the late Benjamin Lindquist Baker and Alice Walker Baker. William is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Jo Baker; six children, William (Sunny) Baker II, Andrew Baker, Kathleen (Steve) Leister, Jill (Wes) Musser, Daniel (Amy) Baker-Jones, Marjorie D. Banks Richard Charles Banks, passed away at home, Saturday July 23, 2016, surrounded by loved ones. Richard was the eldest son born to the late Theodore and Ruth Banks on August 2, 1946 in Bryan, TX. He attended Bryan City Schools and graduated from Kemp High School in 1964. Richard retired from Allen Dairy. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Glenn Banks.
