Sager, Lona 1934 - 2018 Lona Sager, age 83, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 14, 2018. Born on April 11, 1934 in Mercerville, Ohio to the late Floyd and Blanche Stevers. Lona had a successful career at DCSC as a Program Analyst. After her first retirement in 1984, she pursued a profession in Real Estate; which led her to a hobby of investing in fixer-upper properties. Preceded in death by her husband Gene Sager, parents, brother Lester Stevers and first husband Charles Wallace. Survived by her daughter, Sherry (Mike) Andrus; grandchildren, Elysse (Brian) Winokur, Juliana Williamson, and Daniel Williamson; and brothers, Charles and Phil Stevers. Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 18, 2018 from 4-7pm, at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna, Ohio 43230, where a service will be held on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 11am. Private family interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Saville, William  
Saville, William 1946 - 2018 William "Bill" J.A. Saville, DVM, PhD, Diplomate ACVIM, prominent veterinary educator who carried out academic research for The Ohio State University, died unexpectedly Monday, January 8, 2018.Bill was born in Wainwright Alberta, Canada, on August 10, 1946. He grew up helping his Dad in their family vet clinic. This prompted Bill to follow in his father's footsteps. Subsequently, he graduated from High School and attended the University of Saskatchewan where he obtained his DVM. Following this he completed an internship at University California, Davis. He then returned to Canada to work in private practice with a focus on equine medicine. In 1993 Bill came to The Ohio State University where he did an equine internal medical residency. He then completed a PhD and joined the faculty as an assistant professor in the department of veterinary preventative medicine. He served as the interim chair of the department from 2006 to 2007. He was then the chair of the department from 2007 through 2015. Following 2015, Bill returned to teaching and research. Bill was an engaged faculty member who contributed meaningfully. One of his most important interests was to work as a mentor to many students over the years. Bill was preceded in death by his parents Max and Lilian. He is survived by his loving wife, Margo. And immediate family including 3 sisters, Maxine, Pat and Wendy; 2 brothers, Bob and Ron. Bill thoroughly enjoyed playing golf with his many friends. He loved traveling. And most of all spending time with his beautiful wife, as he would any chance he got. Memorial service to be held at 11 am January 24, 2018 at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High Street, Worthington Ohio. In lieu of flowers, a memorial gift may be made in Dr. Saville's memory. Schmitt (Lane), Mariann Mariann Lane Schmitt, age 84, died peacefully Saturday Jan 13, 2018 at Carriage Court in Grove City. Born Dec. 19, 1933 the daughter of the late Oril and Mary Fulcher Carr. Graduate of St. Mary's German Village High School. Retired from Diocesan Catholic Cemeteries. Preceded in death by husbands Bill Lane and Gene Schmitt. Survived by daughters Judy (Mike) Norviel, Theresa (Michael) Bayes and Kathy (Eric) Casey; grandchildren Angela Norviel, Kelly (Brian) Schulze, Michael Norviel, Brenda (Dennis) Schwegel, Tony (Kelly) Casey, Joe (Samantha) Casey and Tim (Margaret) Casey; great grandchildren Erika Moore, Nathan Coy, Kaylee Schulze, Dominic Schwegel, Maria Casey, Mason Casey, Gianna Casey, Max Casey, and Reagan Casey. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday Jan. 18, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 3730 Broadway, Grove City where friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial St. Joseph Cemetery. Scott, Ruth M. Ruth M. Scott, 88, passed away on the way to her new home in Quakertown, PA early Mon., Jan. 8, 2018. She was the loving wife of William F. Scott for almost 65 years. Born and raised in Columbus, she was the only child of Frank A. and Mable (Geedy) Molz. Ruth was a graduate of South High School in Columbus. Ruth was employed for many years doing office work for book publishing companies, most notably for Simon & Schuster, Inc. in Columbus. She was an avid collector of dolls. Surviving with William are their children, Sue Howard of Quakertown and Robert Scott, wife Debbie in FL; and grandchildren: Bailey Moore of Quakertown, John F. Scott in CA, William K. Scott and Heather Moore in FL, Sunnie M. Moore and Amanda K. Moore of Quakertown. At the request of Ruth, there will be no services. Seguin, Veronica  
Seguin, Veronica Veronica Lynn Seguin, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away at home surrounded by her family on January 14, 2018. Veronica is survived by her husband of 35 years, John; her daughter, Claire (Ben) and her sons, Nicholas, Thomas (Amanda), Neil, and Christopher. Known affectionately to her family as "Pudie", she was sister to Thomas (Brigid), Mary Patrice (Jean Paul), Karen (Mark), Gregory (Margaret), and Judith (Patrick); and a sister and daughter-in-law to John's family. She was a loving aunt to 28 nieces and nephews. Veronica was born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1952 - the eldest child of the late Thomas and Bernice Shields. She attended Seton High School, received her B.A. in Education from Saint Louis University, and was a special education teacher in the Greater Cincinnati area before moving to Kansas City, and finally Columbus 25 years ago. Veronica enjoyed the outdoors and travel, read widely, was an accomplished cook, and a thoughtful friend. She was an active supporter of faith-based, service, and educational organizations. Veronica was a devout Catholic and believed strongly in Catholic education for her children while actively exposing them to a diversity of people, cultures, and ideas far beyond the classroom. Pudie will be remembered for her compassion for others, her ardent respect for God's earth, and her unconditional love for her children, husband and family.
