Mosley, R. Elaine  
Mosley R. Elaine Mosley, of Roanoke, Virginia, died Thursday, January 21, 2016 at the age of 87. Elaine was born in Jeromesville, Ohio, the oldest daughter of L.C. and Rubie Emerick. She was married to the late Carl L. Mosley Jr. and had three sons. Active in service to others throughout her life, Elaine was a leader in many civic organizations as well as a teacher of English and Home Economics. She raised her family in Lincoln Village, a suburb of Columbus, Ohio. She retired from teaching at the Park Street Middle School in Grove City, Ohio. After retiring, Elaine and Carl moved to Venice, Florida where they lived for 20 years. Elaine is survived by her son, Eric and his wife, Janice of Goodview, Virginia; a son, Craig of Worthington, Ohio; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Markstein Martha B. Markstein, age 87, passed away February 2, 2016 at Sunrise of Bexley. Longtime member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish. Founding member of the Bexley Natural Food Co-op. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband John Markstein and son Tom Markstein. Survived by her sons, Dave (Susan) and Rob (Beth) Markstein; grandchildren, Chris (Jacqlynn), John (Famke), Kate and Paul; brother, Richard (Anne) Beshuk. Friends may call Friday from 5-8 p.m. at EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 403 East Broad Street. Matheny, Philip ¿Phil¿ R.  
Matheny Philip "Phil" R. Matheny, age 91, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 31, 2016. Philip was born on January 8, 1925 in Logan, Ohio to the late Ervin and Hazel (Blum) Matheny. He was a 1942 graduate of Logan High School after which he enlisted in the US Navy and served on the USS Miami in the South Pacific during WWII. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from The Ohio State University in 1950, where he was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. Notably, Phil was part of a hand-picked team chosen to represent the IBM Corporation and its landmark RAMAC 305 computer at the American National Exhibition in Moscow in 1959. He was also the author of the book, "Critical Path Hiring", which was published in 1986. Phil was a life-long fitness advocate, an avid golfer, a loyal Buckeye fan and a passionate believer in reasoned political debate. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren and was also a devout Christian and closely involved with both the St. James and St. Patrick's Episcopal Churches locally. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Joseph and Thomas Matheny, and nephew Thomas Matheny, Jr. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 64 years, Jean (Platt) Matheny; his children, Steve (Christine Ramsey) Matheny, Ted (Elizabeth) Matheny and Mark (Jean) Matheny; and his grandchildren, Andrew, Sara Helen "Cici", Hannah and Tamara Matheny; his nephews, Tim and Dan Matheny; his niece, Marsha (Matheny) Schrank; and many other family members. McGrath, Betty F. (VanHoose)  
McGrath (Van Hoose) Betty F. (Van Hoose) McGrath, age 80, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 3, 2016. Betty was born on November 16, 1935 in Wayland, Kentucky to the late Floyd and Bea (Kane) Copley. She worked as a Secretary at Nationwide Insurance. Betty will be remembered as a humble servant of her Lord as she was always willing to help others with her kind and caring spirit. Preceded in death by her parents, sons Mark and Barry Van Hoose. She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Diana (Gary) Vara and Lisa (Andrew) Highberger; her grandchildren, Cameron and Connor Troilo, Ryan (Danielle) and Matthew VanHoose, Sarah (Jake) Tennant and Vincent Mustacchio; her great-grandchildren, Logan, Ryan and Madison VanHoose; and her siblings, Janie (Jimmy) Hall and Jo McGrath; along with her many friends at Oak Leaf Village. Memorial service will be held to celebrate her life on Monday, February 8, 2016 at 4:30 p.m. at Vineyard Church of Marysville, 913 W. 5th St., Marysville, Ohio 43040. McVeigh Patricia L. McVeigh, of Pickerington, Ohio, passed away on January 31, 2016. Preceded in death by husband Michael O. McVeigh, parents Joe and Mildred Copeland and brother Ernest Copeland. Survived by son, Michael J. (Terri) McVeigh; daughters, Pamela and Jill McVeigh; grandchildren, Michael, Timmy, Chad and Trish; great grandchildren, Timmy and Olivia; and sisters, Mary Jo, Joyce, Naomi, Erma "Butch", and Kathryn. Meek, Helen  
Meek Helen Meek, age 85, died peacefully Thursday, February 4, 2016 at the home of her daughter-in-law, Wilma Meek. Helen was born April 18, 1930 in Erie, PA to the late John and Mary Yakubow. She had eight siblings of which one is still living, Elizabeth Wyland from Pittsburgh, PA. She married her late husband, Franklin W. Meek, Sr. May 8, 1948 in Greenup Co. KY and together they had ten children. Surviving family members include children, Franklin (Linda) Meek, Jr., Jonathon (Barbara) Meek, Christina (Jeff) Grice, Robert (Jacqueline) Meek, and Steven Meek; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; daughter in law, Wilma Meek; and son in law, William Mcghee. In addition to her parents and husband, Helen is preceded in death by children John Meek, Donald Meek, Susanne McGhee, Deborah Napier, and William Meek. She will be lovingly missed by all. Family will receive friends Monday, February 8, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway. Miller, Barbara S.  
Miller Barbara S. Miller, 82, of Circleville, Ohio, met her husband and son at the gates of heaven on January 31, 2016. She was born on October 22, 1933 in Reynoldsburg, Ohio to the late Kenneth and Ethel Shumaker. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard E. Miller, and son Charles. She is survived by her children, Cathy Trimmer (Dan) of Baltimore, Cynthia Kohler (Gary) of Canal Winchester, Curtis Miller (Gail) of Marysville, Cheri Farmer (Kevin) of Stoutsville, Christopher and Craig Miller of Circleville and Chad Miller of Columbus; grandchildren, Devon Trimmer (Jamie), Richard Kohler (Olivia) and Tiffany Kohler, Ryan Miller, Jennifer and Dakota Farmer, Kyle Miller (Kylie), and Britney Miller; and great-grandchildren, Keeli Kohler, Riley, Keaton and Kenzlee Miller. Barbara was a 1951 graduate of Groveport High School, Groveport, Ohio, where she was involved in cheerleading, FHA, TRI-HI-Y, GAA, choir, and homecoming court her sophomore year. After graduation, she worked as a clerk at Buckeye Steel in Columbus, Ohio. On December 29, 1951, she married the love of her life, Richard Miller. She spent much of her life farming with Richard in Lancaster, Ohio where they lovingly raised eight children. In her later years, she devoted her life to caring for her parents until they passed and then they retired to a small farm in Circleville, Ohio in Pickaway County where she enjoyed spending time watching her grandchildren in their sports and activities, gardening, walking and bird watching. Family and friends may call at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME in Lancaster, 10-11 a.m. prior to the graveside service on Saturday, February 6, 2016 with the Reverend Dr. Emil H. Klatt III officiating. Burial will be at Carroll Cemetery, Carroll, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pickaway Township EMS in Pickaway County, St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Lancaster, Ohio, or a charity of your choice in Barbara's honor.

Miller Michael L. Miller, age 62, January 31, 2016. Preceded in death father Neil Miller. Survived by wife, Mary Ann; daughters, Kathleen Aspiranti and Kristie Finley; four grandchildren; mother, Eleanor Tolle Miller; sisters, Lindee Goodall and Lori Ross. A celebration of Michael's life will be held Friday, February 5, at BEECHWOLD CHRISTIAN CHURCH, 280 Morse Rd., Columbus, OH 43214. Visitation 4-6 p.m. Service 6 p.m. Party 7-8:30 p.m. A final toast will begin around 9 p.m. at The Pint Room, 4415 W. Dublin-Granviile Rd., Dublin, OH 43017. Mills, Elizabeth Ann "Liz"  
Mills Elizabeth Ann "Liz" Mills, born February 19, 1958 in Portsmouth, VA, passed peacefully with her family by her side on the evening of January 30, 2016 at The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center after a brief illness at the age of 57. She married her best friend and soulmate, Steven R. Mills and was mother to her sons, Christopher and Jonathan. Preceded in death by her mother Betsy Fillhart (Hillyer) and brother R.A. Fillhart. She is survived by her father, David Fillhart; and siblings, Michael Fillhart (Debbie), Kathie Van Hoose (Roger) and Melissa Cao (Cou). Preceded in death by her niece Robyn and survived by nieces, Rebecca, Maria; and nephews, David, Corey, Drake, Alex and Matthew. A graduate of Whetstone High School in Columbus, Liz was a wonderful homemaker, wife and mother. Liz held many positions off and on while working for Chicago Title Insurance Company over a 25 year range. She had an affinity for rescue dogs and was lucky enough to be graced with many wonderful pets during her life. Liz enjoyed traveling, especially to Fort Myers Beach, Florida. Most importantly, Liz enjoyed being a wife and mother. The most fun she had was raising her two children with her husband. Two of the proudest moments in her life was to witness the graduation of both sons from Ohio University. She was most happy when she was sitting on her back deck, preparing fresh corn-on-the-cob, grilling steak and watching, along with her husband, her kids and dog play in their backyard. Viewing hours will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday, February 5 at TIDD FUNERAL HOME located at 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026. A celebration of life service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, February 6 at Tidd Funeral Home. A gathering of friends and family will occur after the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks to have a donation made to CHA Animal Shelter ( http://www.chaanimalshelter.org/ ).
