Herson, Libby D.  
Herson Libby D. Herson, age 90, died peacefully on January 14, 2017, an inspiration to all whose lives she touched. Born Libue Kormunda in 1926 to Zdenka and Rudolph Kormunda, Libby grew up in Chicago, IL, where she earned her degree in Chemistry from the University of Chicago. She loved her work at Billings Hospital and as Lead Food Chemist for the V Army Corps during WWII. Libby married her husband of 65 years, Lawrence J.R. Herson, in 1951 and moved to Columbus, OH in 1955 when Larry began his professorship in Political Science at OSU. Libby adored her friends and life in academic circles and she was honored to serve as President of the University Women's Club. Libby was most proud of her life as a mother and her familyEric Herson, Jody Kuehn Herson, Viktoria Herson Ryu, Hyung Ryu, Samuel Ryu, Nicholas Ryu, Kimberly Shuman McAuley, Sean McAuley, and William McAuleywill forever hold her in their hearts with love, admiration, and gratitude for her gifts of wit, grace, and dauntless fortitude. An intrepid traveler, always first in line to explore bat caves of Malaysia, ride a camel in Giza or dive into the maze of the Grand Bazaar, Libby loved an adventure. Always kind and gracious, with an uncanny ability to find common ground and share a story, Libby never met a stranger. Heyder Benjamin Alan Heyder, infant son of Mallory and Jason Heyder and little brother to Addison was delivered on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Grandson of David and Cindy Kuhns, Marsha Heyder, Craig and Carol Heyder and great grandson of Bert Heyder. Benjamin will be missed by numerous loving relatives. Hoover Matthew Hoover, age 33, of Grove City, died suddenly but peacefully in his sleep at home on January 15, 2017. Preceded in death by his loving mother Wendy, grandma Kay, grandpa Frank, and his aunt Laura and aunt Maria. Matt is survived by his son, Jacob, who absolutely adored his dad; father, Tim Reynolds (Jeff); cousin, Luke Himes (Julie) who was more of a brother and best friend and was inseparable; sister, Andrea; special cousins, Haleigh, Maycee, Korben; and many others; aunts, Debra, Kim, and Shawn; grandpa, Tod and grandma, Reda; grandpa Tim and grandma, Linda; many friends. House, Jean Rosemary (Conrad)  
House Jean Rosemary (Conrad) House, 91, died January 10, 2017 in the Vincentian Home, Pittsburgh, PA, after an extended illness. She was born December 18, 1925 in Ashland County and was the daughter of the late William and Blanche (Wise) Conrad. Jean was a 1944 graduate of Loudonville High School and attended The Ohio State University. On July 12, 1947, she married Lowell M. House who preceded her in death on December 28, 2007. Jean and Lowell spent their lives together in Westerville, Cincinnati, Townville, SC, and Mansfield. Jean most recently lived in Pittsburgh, PA to be near family. Jean worked assisting her husband in the start-up of a branch of The Butler Company, as an administrative assistant for Westerville City Schools, and retired as an office manager in Columbus (OH). She was an active church member of Zion Lutheran Church, Grace Lutheran Church, and Central College Presbyterian Church. She and her late husband enjoyed RV travelling, visiting most of the lower 48 states during their adventures. Jean was an avid reader and loved music. Jean fiercely loved her family, and was happiest surrounded by them. She is survived by three children, Susan (Henry) Klaiber of Greensboro, NC, Michael House of Curtice, OH, and Diana (Jeffrey) Knoll of Pittsburgh, PA; eight grandchildren, Kate Smith, Debbie McDougal, Kelly Schuck, Adam Freseman, Aaron House, Kaitlyn Galan, Jason Knoll, and Rebecca Stachel; and 11 great-grandchildren, Camden Freseman, Zoe Smith, John Schuck, Evan Schuck, Zachary Smith, Conrad McDougal, Parker Stachel, Madeline Galan, Nathaniel Schuck, Stella Freseman, and Elijah Galan. Jean was preceded in death by a brother William (Pauline) Conrad of Loudonville, OH and is survived by one sister, Betty Adler of Westerville, OH. A gathering of family and friends will be held Sunday, January 22 from 1-3 p.m. in LINDSEY FUNERAL HOME of Loudonville. Burial will follow in the Loudonville Cemetery. Howlett, Robert Joseph  
Howlett Robert Joseph Howlett, 54, of Worthington, OH was taken away too soon on Monday, January 16, 2017. He was an avid golfer, hunter, chef and fisherman and well loved by all. Rob was a proud organ donor and now someone will see life through his doe eyes. Survived by his children, Amanda and Spencer Howlett; parents, Gary and Carol Howlett; sisters, Rita (Norm) Williams and Renee (Norbert) Haas; brother, Ryan (Donna) Howlett; and nieces and nephews, Samantha and Bailey Williams, Kendall, Trevor and Reilly Haas. His spirit will continue to live on in all that knew him. A mass will be held in his honor at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 28 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Worthington. Wharton-Farr Rosina (Farr) Wharton Inman, age 95, of Columbus, who was born on July 12, 1921 in Romania passed away at her home on January 16, 2017 surrounded by family. Member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church for over 85 years. Active member of Columbus South High School, Class of 1939, Alliance Transylvania Saxon, Branch 10, Marion Franklin Senior Center, Obetz Senior Center, and Groveport Senior Center. Preceded in death by husbands Charles E., Wharton and Raymond N. Inman, parents Rosa and Michael Farr, brother and sister-in-law Michael Jr. and Helen Farr, step-daughter Nancy Hibbard. Survived by son, Charles (Evelyn) Wharton; daughter, Linda (Terry) Falter; step-sons, Karl Inman and Ed Hibbard; grandchildren, Angela Wharton, Natalie (Jim) Polzin, Troy (Carla) Falter, Melinda (Ronnie) Stevens; step-granddaughter, Christa Hibbard Cole; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Tucker, and Kaylee Falter, Devyn, Dakota, and Drevan Stevens, and Austin Polzin; sisters, Evelyn Roth, Hilda (Dick) Kautz; numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Jennings Carretta Jennings was born February 21, 1920 in Gary, WV to Walter L. Yates Sr. and Oler Bell Yates. She worked as a supervisor for the City of Columbus and retired from the Janitorial Division at the Columbus Airport. Carretta was a faithful, active member of Grace New Covenant Apostolic Church where she was Head Mother of the Mother Board. She was involved in Active Older Adults (AOA) at the Eldon Ward Branch of the YMCA, a member of AFSCME Union Chapter 108, and President of Duxberry Park Civic Association (now Argyle Park Civic Association). Carretta transitioned to be with the Lord on January 11, 2017 in Columbus, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents Walter L. Sr. and Oler Bell Yates, beloved husband Foster Jennings, brother Walter L. Yates, Jr., sisters Rachael Stoner and Margaret Cobb. She leaves to cherish precious memories, daughters, Cheryl Thomas, Sharon Jennings, and Debra Jennings; grandchildren, Shon Thomas, Tasha "Baby Girl" Jennings, and Lynette (Shannon) Ferrell; great-grandchildren, Angelica Thomas, Shannon, Kimberly, Kingston, Foster, and Sasha Ferrell; sister, Wanetta Covington; special friend, Gloria Zebbs Anderson. Jensen, Michael J. "Mike"  
Jensen Michael J. "Mike" Jensen, age 69, of Westerville, OH, passed away January 13, 2017. Mike was a retired banking executive from the Chase Bank. Born in Decorah, Iowa, he was a graduate of DeSales High School in Decorah and the University of Iowa. Resident of Westerville since 1988, he attended Lamb of God Lutheran Church. He gave of his time and talents over the years as an active volunteer for various organizations, including Godman Guild and Camp Mary Orton, Westerville Warcats Hockey Association, and Ten Mile Lake Association in Hackensack, MN. Mike is survived by his wife of 43 years, Diane; children, Miranda (Matthew) Mann and Martin Jensen and his girlfriend, Christa Van Volkenburg; grandchildren, Lydia and Caleb Mann; sisters, Karen Allen and Susan (Reynold) Sacquitne; brothers, James (Mary Ann), Norman, William, Richard (Sherry), and Paul Jensen; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Margaret Jensen, sister Jeanine, brothers David and Jerome. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Ohio, Wednesday January 18, 5-8 p.m., and at Lamb of God Lutheran Church, 4925 Sunbury Road, Columbus, OH 43230 for one hour prior to the service, which will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, with Pastor Tim Wagner officiating.
