He studied special education at Edinboro University in Pennsylvania. For over 20 years he took great pride in teaching the gifted and talented students at David E. John was a lifelong Boy Scout and as an adult became a Scoutmaster; teaching numerous boys and young men, including his own sons, the necessary skills to move through the ranks. While he wasn't a hunter or fisherman, he did love camping, the outdoors, and the challenges of mastering new wilderness skills. Aloi and his wife, Lisa of Sylvania, Ohio, Emily D'Amore and her husband, Kenneth of Delaware, Ohio, and Daniel J.
