Sutton, Clarence Thomas  
Sutton Clarence Thomas Sutton, 72, from Cleveland, Ohio, departed his home on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 to be with his Lord and Savior and his beloved wife of 47 years, Kathryn Mae Sutton. Clarence was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard. He is survived by his dear children, Tammy (Dan) Dreisbach, Tom (Michele) Sutton, and Tonya (Michael) Luna. Cherished grandchildren, Danny (Lauren), Brianne, Kaleb, and Lydia. Also surviving is his sister, Dolores (husband, Michael, deceased) Hovan. In addition to his parents Mr. and Mrs. Kish, Clarence is preceded in death by his brothers Charles T. Sutton and Robert Sutton. Family and friends may visit 4-7 p.m. on Sunday at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 550 Hill Rd. N., Pickerington, OH 43147, where a funeral service, officiated by Fr. Paul B. Williams, will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday. Weaver, Mary Alice  
Weaver Mary Alice Weaver, age 80, passed peacefully at her niece's home Wednesday, June 22, 2016. She was born November 26, 1935 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Ralph "Leon" and Christina (Bezold) Lambert. She was a member of the Sisters of Saint Francis of Joliet, IL. Her name given to her was Sister Maristelle which means star of the sea. Mary Alice taught primary grades in several schools in Illinois. She also worked for the Ohio National Guard and retired from the Federal Finance Center. She was a devoted and selfless wife, mother, and friend. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Weaver, son Nicholas Weaver, brothers Donald and John Lambert and sister JoAnne Stewart Welker. Mary Alice is survived by her special nieces, Mary (Brian) Collins and Virginia (Larce "Larry") Thompson; and many other relatives and dear friends. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Sunday, June 26, 2016 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd., Columbus, where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday. Entombment St. Joseph Cemetery. Arick, Joseph F.  
Arick Rev. Joseph F. Arick, age 87, of Columbus, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on June 19, 2016. Born October 6, 1928 to Walter and Naomi Arick. Predeceased by his nine siblings. Joe is survived by his loving and dedicated wife of 66 years, Marie; one half sister, Joy Davis; sons, Michael and Gregg Arick; grandchildren, Greggory Arick, Ashley Roseberry, Michael (Ellen) Arick Jr., Christopher Arick, Jennifer (Ryan) Ritter; as well as nine great-grandchildren. Rev. Arick was a devoted man of God using his ministries to touch the lives of many. Joe was a veteran of the 7th Air Force and later founded Arick & Sons Insulation and Roofing Company. He retired from the company in 1992; which Michael Sr. still operates today. Following his retirement, Joe enjoyed many winters in Florida, where he became an avid horseshoe pitcher. He competed and won dozens of tournaments in Ohio and Florida. Joe was a kind loving man who cared for everyone he met. A man of God, a family man and a friend to all. He will be dearly missed by all those left behind. Friends may call at the O.R. WOODYARD CO. South Chapel, 1346 S. Bergandine, Verna Cushman  
Bergandine Verna Cushman Bergandine, 101, of Sunbury, died Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at home surrounded by her family. She was born November 14, 1914 in Woodstock, Ohio to Arthur and Mary Cushman. Verna had a love of art, poetry, skilled in needlework, and painting. She was always there to help others in time of need. She was a longtime member of the Sunbury United Methodist Church. She is survived by daughters, Anne Stockert of Rockwood, MI, Susan Churchill of Westerville, OH, Barbara (Duncan) Whitney of Delaware; sons, John of Harmony, NC, Charles (Karen) of Ostrander, James (Deb) of Delaware, Robert of Provincetown, MA, and Jeffrey of Columbus; 17 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; and two great- great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, ten siblings- five sisters and five brothers, husband Frank D. Bergandine (1983), and grandsons Scott Bergandine (1988) and Christopher O'Bryan (1991). Memorial contributions may be made in honor of her childhood church toward restorations at Woodstock Universalist Church, c/o Woodstock Lions Club, P.O. Box 202, Woodstock, OH 43084. Visitation will be Friday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Sunbury United Methodist Church. Braswell Curtis Lee Braswell, age 61. Sunrise November 5, 1954 in Columbus, OH and Sunset June 3, 2016 in Reno, NV. Curtis graduated from Mifflin High School, and Franklin University. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, was a Coach Operator for MV Transportation and member of Teamsters #533. Curtis was preceded in death by his father Baulee Braswell. Chambers, Maria Elisabeth  
Chambers Maria Elisabeth Chambers, age 76, passed away in her Gahanna home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 7 p.m. following a courageous six year battle with cancer. Maria was born in Germany on March 14, 1940, to Franz and Margareta Steffen. After losing Franz in the war, Margareta raised Maria and her older brothers, Hubert and Heinz in the small town of Olzheim. Maria came to America in 1961 after meeting and marrying Air Force Airman First Class Jerry A. Chambers. Maria and Jerry had three children and built a life rooted in her German heritage and the love and support of the Chambers family. Surrounded by her friends and family, Maria became a US citizen on June 4, 1996. Maria and Jerry celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary this past May. Maria worked as a Food Services Manager for the Limited Brands for eleven years. Following her employment there, she worked at Blocks Bagels for many years. In her professional endeavors, Maria was known for her no-nonsense determination, her high standards, and her sincere interest and concern for her staff and her customers. She was preceded in death by her mother Margareta and her father Franz, her mother- and father-in-law Lucille and Carl Chambers and her brothers-in-law Robert, Carl and Richard Chambers. She is survived by her beloved husband, Jerry; her brothers, Hubert Steffen (Paula) and Heinz Steffen (Christa); sisters-in-law, Lynda and Carol Chambers; her children, Janette (James) Thomas, Bruce (Yolanda) Chambers, Keith (Ann Marie) Chambers; and her grandchildren, Christopher, Steffen and Benjamin Thomas, Amara (Joshua Decker), and Susan (Brett Coons) Chambers, Maddie Bray, and Sebastian Chambers; as well as cherished nieces, nephews and cousins in Germany and the US, and numerous life-long friends. Maria was known by many nicknames including, Dutch, Mutti, Mimaw, Grandma Fluffy, The German General and The Bagel Lady. To know Maria was to know unconditional love. She gave it generously and unselfishly to all she met through her warm smile, and her willingness to listen. She was the definition of grace, positivity and strength.
