Juneau resident Barry Gordon Burnett, 66, passed away April 16, 2014 in Anchorage, AK. Barry was born in Juneau on February 3, 1948, to Gordon and Helen Burnett. He attended Juneau schools and lived in Juneau for much of his life. Barry joined the United States Navy and served in the Medical Corp. After his discharge he worked various jobs in the community including volunteer fire fighter, taxi cab driver and cook. He moved to Anchorage and while living there met his wife Donna. They were married in May 1986. His family wrote "he was a loving father and husband; he was loved and will be missed"

He is survived by his wife, Donna; his daughter, Kimberly of Morris, Minnesota; his son, Judah of Anchorage, Alaska; sister, Sue Nix of Juneau; sister, Bonnie Jo Davison of Washington and brother, Tom Lynch of Washington.
Mr. Burnett was preceded in death by his father, Gordon Burnett; by his mother, Helen Burnett Smith; and his brother, Darrel (Skip) Burnett. A Celebration of Life will be held at Hope Community Resources Auditorium (570 W. 53rd Avenue) on Thursday, May 8th, at 5:15 p.m.
