Brendon was a lifelong Alaskan, born September 28, 1988, in Anchorage, and died near Palmer in August 2013.

There will be a Celebration of Life and finger food potluck on November 10th from 2 to 6 P.M. at the Wasilla Senior Center. Friends and family are encouraged to share memories.
Officiating at service will be John Prevost.
He attended elementary school in Sutton and Middle School and High school in Palmer. He attended the University of Alaska, studying Criminal Justice and Para medicine. He was awarded his Associate Degree in Para medicine in August 2013.

Brendon was a part of the Fire Explorer program which he joined at age 14. After he completed the program, he continued on as a leader and a mentor.
Brendon was hard working and was employed in several fields. He worked in security and loss prevention and became a manager with Sportsman's Warehouse in 2009. Brendon's passion was emergency services. He was employed by the University of Alaska as a Lab instructor and worked with the EMT and Paramedic programs from 2009. He was an accomplished Medic, Firefighter and Rescue Tech and worked in the field from his 18th birthday until the time of his death. He was a responder with the Mat-Su Borough as a Medic and Firefighter and with the City of Palmer as a Firefighter and Rescue Tech.
Brendon was a well-loved son, grandson and a friend to many. He had great talent and amazing potential. There was nothing he tried that he could not and did not accomplish. In his short life he touched the lives of so many through his desire and willingness to serve others. His passing is a loss not only to his family and friends but to the countless people who he would have come in contact with throughout his life. He will be dearly missed, yet his memory will live on through the treasured memories and share experiences of those who had the honor to know and love him. He is gone, but will never be forgotten.
Brendon is survived by his Mother, Shirley Twitchell of Palmer; and Grandmother, Ina Twitchell of Anchorage.
Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Santa Cop and Heroes Program. Donations are tax deductible and may be made at the Wasilla and Palmer Senior Centers as well as the Palmer Police Department and the Wasilla Police Department. Please specify that the donations are for the Santa Cop & Heroes Program.
