Daniel Patrick Griffin, 68, passed away at home in Wasilla, Alaska on February 28, 2014. He was born in Ohio on September 26, 1945. He was drafted in the Army in 1965, during the Vietnam War and served our country honorably for two years. He moved in to Alaska in 1974, worked for the Union and retired in 2001. He graduated with an associate of arts in logistics from the University of Alaska Anchorage. He and his significant other Christine J. Ace, of Palmer spent eight years happily together.

Dan enjoyed working and building on his cabin and living by the lake. He was a spirited and adventurous soul who loved the outdoors and working with his hands to create his dream. Dan was very faithful to his beliefs and service work.
There will be a celebration of life on Sunday March 16 in Palmer at the train depot at 3 p.m. Memorial Donations can be mailed to 801 Outlet View Dr., Wasilla, AK 99654. Please bring flowers to honor this mans full life. At a later date the family will spend a moment up the Yentna River to give Dan his final good bye. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Legacy Wasilla Chapel.
