James Leonard (Barkdoll) Sandine, 76, of Clearwater, Florida, passed away on February 13th, 2013, in his sleep. Jim was born in North Bend, Oregon on June 2, 1936. He graduated from High School in Anchorage, Alaska, in 1954, and continued on to receive a Bachelor's of Arts Degree from the University of Washington. He served in both the Air Force and Air Force Reserves. Jim lived and worked in Southern California for most of his adult life before moving to Clearwater. The warmer, drier climate helped him cope with a spondylitis condition that he suffered from throughout his life. He enjoyed writing, dancing (when he was able), watching old musical clips, playing the guitar and singing. Jim was an ardent believer in the benefits of taking natural supplements and eating organic food and he spent many hours researching and sharing this information. James is survived by his sister, Brita Gould and his two half sisters, Nancy Lamb, and Kristi Tanodra; his nieces and nephew; and the rest of his family and friends. A graveside service and memorial gathering will be held in June, 2013 the actual date and time have yet to be determined. His ashes will be placed next to his mother Agnes I. Neill's remains at the Gilliland Cemetery in Sweet Home, Oregon. Family and friends will be notified of the Memorial Gathering location at a later date. ALife Tribute Largo, FL (727) 559-7793
