Dr. James B. Watson III passed away at his home on February 6th, 2014. Jim was born in Nashville, Tennessee on January 15, 1942 and spent his childhood fishing the Cumberland River, playing basketball, and excelling academically. He graduated from Vanderbilt University and University of Tennessee Medical School, then served in the US Army as a Chief Medical Officer. Upon completion of his medical internship and residency, Dr. Watson practiced gastroenterology in Anchorage, Alaska for 24 years, where he and his family enjoyed spending time at their family cabins, exploring the wilderness, and photographing Alaskan nature. Jim and his wife, Anne, spent their retirement years between their home in the Bull Mountains near Roundup, Montana and their cabin at East Rosebud Lake. He is survived by his wife, Anne; daughters, Dahy (Ian) McIntosh, Sarah Watson and Ansley (Rob) Ford; and five grandchildren, Will, Daisy, Cy, Cael, and Rose. No funeral is planned and cremation has taken place.
