Norman Bernard Fields Beloved Husband, Father, Son, Grandfather and friend passed away at Providence Hospital, January 20, 2014.

Norman was born January 31, 1951 to Norman and Shirley Fields in Portsmouth VA.
Norman served his country for 21 years and retired from the US Air Force. He was the Past Commander of Post 9978 of the VFW in the year 2006. He was Past Worshipful Master of the Prince Hall Masonic Lodge, Fairbanks AK. Norman was an active member of Leake Temple AME Zion Church serving on the usher board and the choir. Norman was very generous and, kind hearted and willing to help anyone. He will be truly missed by those whose lives he touched.
Norman was preceded in death by his father, the late Norman Fields.
He is survived by his loving wife, Josie; one daughter, Henrietta McMorris; three sons, Don McMorris (Cycelia), Marco McMorris (Charmain), and Larry McMorris(Danielle); 6 grandchildren, the loves of his life, Dondres, Diamond, Dion, Chanti, Cairo, Donika. Mother, Shirley Fields; one brother, Kenny Fields (Tracy); three sisters, Rev. Carol Linda Fields, Jan Brown, Janette Fields; four sister in laws, Rosemary Bellgrove (Brian), Billie Jean Stovall (Willie), Margaret Williams (Jimmy) Nina Poindexter; 4 brother in laws, Ado McMorris (Mary), Robert McMorris, Louis McMorris, Lionel McMorris; special nephew, Eric McMorris; nieces, Cherice, Denay, Ashley, Courtney and Debra; and nephews, Marcus, Michael Christopher and KJ. He will be missed by a host of other relatives and friends.
Norman's Celebration of Life will be Saturday, January 25th, a viewing will be from 12-1:30 p.m. with service beginning at 2 p.m. at Leake Temple AME Zion Church located at 430 North Hoyt Street, Anchorage. Officiated by the Pastor Alphonso H. Meadows Jr. The repast will be at VFW Post 9978 John R. Noyes 101 Oklahoma Street at 430 p.m.
