Anthony F. DeMichele, 86, of Hazlet, passed away peacefully at home on August 30, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on July 24, 1927. He and his wife settled in Hazlet in 1959 to raise their family. Tony was an Ex-Chief of North Centerville Volunteer Fire Company with over 50 Years of service, and the Ex-Chief of Hazlet Township. He was also a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy during WW II.
He was predeceased by his parents Frank and Carmela Lancicera DeMichele. Tony is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years Rosemary Hagerty DeMichele, his loving children Tony DeMichele and his wife Mary, Kathleen DeMichele and her partner Linda Berlen, Beth DeMichele, Thomas DeMichele and his wife Phyllis, along with his cherished grandchildren Dawn Stevens and her husband Scott, Danny DeMichele and his wife Megan, Devin DeMichele, Megan DeMichele, Patrick DeMichele, his cherished great grandchild Scott Stevens Jr. along with his special friends Cecilia Smith and John Beslanovitz (JB) and many nieces, nephews and friends. He will be sadly missed but never forgotten.
Family and friends are invited to visit on September 3, Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM and Wednesday September 4, from, 8:45 to 9:30 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3269 State Route 35 North in Hazlet, NJ 07730. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Jesus the Lord Catholic Church on Wednesday at 10:00 AM. Entombment will follow at Green Grove Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial contributions in memory of Tony to the North Centerville Volunteer Fire Company would be appreciated.
