Barbara Ann Klugewicz

AGE: 69 • Howell

Barbara Ann Klugewicz, 69, of Howell, formerly of Manalapan, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on November 26, 2013. Born & raised in Staten Island, NY, Barbara graduated from PS 17 and from St Peter's High School for Girls where she met the love of her life, Thomas M. Klugewicz. Together they raised their family in Middletown and Manalapan, NJ, before retiring to Pineview Estates in Howell.

Barbara was a devoted communicant and volunteer at St. Thomas Moore Church in Manalapan and then St. William the Abbott Church in Howell. She enjoyed years of crafting a warm, loving home for her husband, children, and friends. She lived a very full life, and in doing so helped others to do the same.

Barbara is received in heaven by her parents, Anthony and Irene Matusevitz and her sister Carol Ann Gambino. She was genuinely loved and will be sadly missed by her devoted husband of 49 years, Thomas; her adoring mother in law Jane Hubbs of Toms River; her children Thomas and Amy of Howell; Melanie and Michael Bonavolonta of Freehold; Christopher of Jamesburg and her grandchildren Sophia, Emma, Ava, Justin, and Tommy. She also leaves her sister Marianne Branigan & husband Michael; brother Ronald Matusevitz & his wife Dorothy; and brother William Matusevitz & his wife Darlene; Adrienne & Vincent McBrearty of Toms River; Robert & Kitty Hubbs; and Christine DeNoble, as well as many loving relatives and friends.

Family and friends are welcomed at O'Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Highway 35, Wall, on Friday from 4-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St William the Abbott Church, Lakewood-Allenwood Rd, Howell, on Saturday at 9:30am.

Memorial donations may be made to the Metastatic Breast Cancer Network at MBCN PO Box 1449 New York, NY 10159 or through LivingBeyondBreastCancer.com. The family requests that mourners share an act of kindness or volunteerism in the spirit of Barbara's memory.
