Bruce E. Peisel

AGE: 67 • Toms River

Bruce E. Peisel, 67, of Toms River, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 25, 2014. He was born in Point Pleasant to the late Edward and Muriel Peisel. He was a graduate of Wall Township High School and proudly served his county as a member of The U.S. Army. He was employed by National Cash Register for over 25 years and thoroughly enjoyed his second career as a bus driver for Toms River Board of Education.

He was a member of Toms River B.P.O Elks Lodge 1875 where he was a past Exalted Ruler and currently served as a trustee. He was also a member of American Legion Post 129. Many years ago, Bruce was also a volunteer fire fighter for Point Pleasant Beach CO 2.

On March 11, 1967, he married the love of his life, Jacqueline, who predeceased him in 2010. Together they shared a life of love and laughter and their union was truly one to be admired.

He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Bauer and her husband Christopher of Bayville, and grandsons, Christopher Jr. and Ethan. Both who he loved dearly and was extremely proud of. Bruce is also survived by two brothers, David and wife Donna and Scott and his wife Cindy and many nieces and nephews and other close family members, all of whom he cherished.

A visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. & 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 28 at "The Family Owned" Carmona Bolen Home for Funerals, 412 Main St., Toms River. A funeral service will take place at 10:30 a.m. Saturday morning, March 29 at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Ocean County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bruce's name to The Light of Day Foundation Inc., c/o Joan Russo, 625 Duchess Ct., Toms River, NJ 08753.
