Carmine M. Azzato

AGE: 81 • Lakewood

Carmine M Azzato, 81, of Lakewood, passed away peacefully on August 1st at his home surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Angelo and Rose Azzato, he was a former resident of Staten Island before retiring to Lakewood sixteen years ago.

Mr. Azzato served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He then went on to work as the Chief Clerk for the Supreme Court of New York in Brooklyn for 30 years. Carmine enjoyed the quality time spent with his family, especially his cherished grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his dear brother Joseph and his son in law Andrew Quinn. Surviving are his beloved wife of 56 years Christine Kennedy Azzato, his loving children, Michael Azzato, Laura Quinn, Christine Azzato, and Jennifer Varano and husband Jason, and his cherished grandchildren, Anthony, Michael, Jacquelyn, Kaitlyn, Richard, Andrew, Sarah, Ava, and Caraline.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 7-9 PM on Monday at O'Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Tuesday at St. Dominic R.C. Church, Brick. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Toms River. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Carmine's memory to Kaleidoscope of Hope Foundation 67 E Park Place, Morristown, NJ 07960.
