AGE: 91 • Toms River

Caroline A. Biancola, 91, of Toms River, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Philadelphia, PA to her parents, Carmela Predale and Nicola Aquilini, raised by her mother and step-father, Filippo Androsiglio, she was predeceased by her sister, Josephine. Caroline lived her entire life in Newark before moving to Toms River 8 years ago. She worked as a seamstress, as lead cook for St. Francis Xavier Grammar School Cafeteria in Newark, where she was also a very active church member and communicant. She also found great satisfaction in her work at The Board of CPA for The State of New Jersey in later years.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Nicholas J. Biancola Sr.; two daughters, Dolores A. Nardone of Toms River, and Joyce A. Mazza and her husband Egidio of Bayville; her son, Nicholas J. Biancola Jr. and his wife Adriana of Westwood; two grandchildren, Deanna, her husband Mark and Michael and great-grandchild, Isabella.

Visiting hours will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012 at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 noon Monday, Dec. 3, 2012 at St. Francis Xavier R.C. Church, 243 Abington Ave., Newark, NJ 07107. Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Montclair. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the and/or The Cancer Society.
