Charles E Morse, 81, of Freehold, formerly of Holmdel, passed away on Sunday Jan. 20, 2013, at Hope Hospice, Ft. Myers, FL. Mr. Morse was an electrical engineer at Bell Labs, Holmdel, retiring in 1989. He was a graduate of Ohio State University, an Army veteran of the Korean War, a former Scout master with Holmdel Troop 331, a former coach with the Holmdel Youth Athletic Association. He lived in Holmdel for 36 years before moving to Freehold 5 years ago. He was a loving and beloved husband, father, and grandfather.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Mary; three sons and their wives, David (Wendy), Donald (Linda) and Charles (Caren); a sister, Elaine Ratcliffe; and eight grandchildren, Zachary, Alison, Hillary, Donald, Charles, Megan, Rebecca, and Emily.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24 at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25 at the funeral home. Interment will then follow at Fairview Cemetery, Westfield. Donations in Charles' name may be made to the Michael J.
