Dominick T. DiSalvo

AGE: 91 • Holmdel

Dominick T. DiSalvo, 91, of Holmdel, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Bayshore Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Holmdel. Dominick was born on August 20, 1922 in Pittsburg, PA, where he grew up. In 1950, he and his wife Jeanette moved to Newark and in 1956, they relocated to Hazlet to start raising their family. Ultimately in 1967, they settled in Holmdel. Dominick was a proud U.S. Army Veteran, where he served during WWII and fought in the Battle of the Bulge.

He was predeceased by his parents, Carmen and Consiglia DiSalvo and his sons-in-law, John McKenna and Kenneth Marshall. Dominick is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 64 years, Jeanette DiSalvo; his loving daughters, Ann Cuntala of So. Brunswick and Candace McKenna of Jackson; his dear brother, Herman DiSalvo of Pittsburgh, PA and his cherished grandchildren, Kimberly Giambrone and her husband John, Carly and Shane McKenna. He will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, March 5th from 3 to 7 PM, with a prayer service at the funeral home at 4 PM, and Thursday, March 6th from 9 to 10 AM, at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 3269 State Rt. 35 N, Hazlet. Interment Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dominick to the would be greatly appreciated.
