AGE: 80 • Berkeley Township

Guy V. DiPietro, 80, of Holiday City Carefree, section of Berkeley Township passed away Saturday November 16, 2013 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick, NJ. He was born in Manhattan, NY, lived in Staten Island, NY before moving to Toms River in 1997. Guy was a parishioner at St. Joseph RC Church, Toms River. Guy served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked for the Sanitation Department as a supervisor in New York City for 20 years. Guy was a lifetime member of the Assumption Council of the Knights of Columbus, where he served as a 3rd degree Knight. He was also a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel-St. Benedicta Church in Staten Island, NY where he served on the Holy Name Society and was a trustee of the church. He was Past President of the Holiday City Carefree Men's Club, a member of the Bocce club, dart league, and trip coordinator for the AC high rollers. Guy was an avid Bowler, Yankees and Giants fan. Surviving are his wife of 54 years Caroline DiPietro, his children James V. and his wife Monica of Trumbull, CT, Jeannine Roland of Middletown, NJ, his sister Patricia DeLuca of Staten Island, NY and his grandchildren Christopher, Briana, and Alana. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd. Toms River. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday 10am at St. Joseph RC Church, Toms River. Committal will be private.
