Herbie J. Kochon, Jr.

AGE: 55 • Atlantic Highlands

Herbie J. Kochon, Jr. (Red), 55, passed away in his Atlantic Highlands home on June 20th to be with the Lord. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and coach. He was a mortgage consultant for Advantage Financial and a member of the Red Bank Elks Lodge. Herbie had many friends and loved coaching football and baseball. He was a big part of the Atlantic Highlands Pop Warner Tigers, including the 1982 B north division championship team. He was also a dedicated Sandy Hook Little League coach, where in 1995 he took a team of all-stars on a European Friendship Tour to play baseball in 7 different countries. He was also a die-hard Yankees and Green Bay Packers fan.

He was preceded in death by his father Herbert J. Kochon, Sr. and his brother John H. Kochon. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 30 years Sherry A. Kochon (Nanney), son Shane J. Kochon and his wife Robyn and granddaughter Lauren, two daughters Jillian Kochon and Kristy Kochon, mother Antoinette Kochon, brother Michael Kochon and sisters Marianne Rounds, Kathleen Hill and Regina Kochon, as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family invites friends and family to say good-bye on Monday, June 24th at Posten's Funeral Home in Atlantic Highlands from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. The funeral will be held Tuesday June 25th at 11am at Saint Agnes Church. He was truly loved and will be missed by all. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Foundation, Lock Box #1352, P.O. Box 8500, Philadelphia, PA 19178-1352.
