Herman Jackson Smith, Jr. "Skip"

Herman Jackson Smith, Jr. "Skip," 66 was born on April 29, 1948 and went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 1, 2014. Born in Longbranch, NJ and raised in Keansburg, NJ to parents Myrtle Massey and stepfather, Howard Tilton. Skip was married to his loving wife, Pam for 27 years. He leaves behind 4 siblings: Dimples, Shirley, Peggy, and Oliver, and joins his loving wife, Pam and sister, Dumpy in heaven. He was a father to son, Arbie and daughter, Melanie, and a grandfather.

A 1966 graduate of Middletown High School and a Veteran of the United States Army where he served in the Vietnam War as a tank driver. Skip was a member of the Calvary Chapel of Monmouth County in Leonardo, where served as a deacon in the church for 4 years. He will be remembered for the love he had for the Lord, his sense of humor, and for his love of fishing and antique cars.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, May 5th at 2:30 pm at the Brigadier General William C. Doyles Veteran's Memorial Cemetery located at 350 Provinceline Road Wrightstown, NJ 08562.
