John H. Zielezinski

John H. Zielezinski, 80, of Lakewood, NJ passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick, NJ. Born in Lodz, Poland, John was a Holocaust Survivor when he came to America with only his mother in the late 1940's. He lived in Fair Lawn, NJ for many years, finally settling in Lakewood, NJ. John voluntarily enlisted in and proudly served in the United States Army. He was a Korean War Veteran and was a member of VFW Post 8867, Brick, NJ. John was an engineer for the Curtiss-Wright Corporation during the 1950's and 1960's, where he installed that company's flight simulators at various US military bases and commercial airports. He joined ITT Avionics in Nutley, NJ in the early 1970's, and retired from its Program Management corps in the late 1990's. John was an avid fisherman who appreciated the solitude of a row boat on calm fresh water and the gentle waves of the NJ surf.

John is survived by his wife, Phyllis; 7 children, Richard, Eva Marie, Paula, Edward, Karen, Susan, and Amy; and 15 grandchildren.

A small private memorial service will be held in the future. Silverton Memorial Funeral Home, 2482 Church Road, Toms River is in charge of the arrangements.
