John Michael Ducsai

John Michael Ducsai, Sr., 73, of Navesink, passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at his home. He was born in Perth Amboy, NJ on May 23, 1939 and was an almost 50 year Shore resident. John graduated from Perth Amboy High School and from NJIT (formerly the Newark College of Engineering). He was a member of the elite ASHRAE Engineers. He worked as a mechanical engineer, head project engineer, architectural engineer, and design and field inspections. John belonged to the VFW, was an United States Air Force Veteran, was also an auxiliary member of Navesink Fire Company #1. John always wanted to serve as an ASA fire fighter but health issues prevented him from achieving his goal. John also attended St. Mary's Church in Belford. John was always busy, loved his family and pets, was always at his computer, and was a varied collector. John will be missed as a good friend and a helpful neighbor but mostly as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Beloved husband of 52 years to Audrey Ballard Ducsai; father of John M. Ducsai, Jr., Donna L. D'Amico, and David E. Ducsai; father-in-law to Jill Ducsai, Vinny D'Amico, and Janis Ducsai; and grandfather to Georgie Ducsai, Cole Ducsai, and Madison Ducsai.

John was preceded in death by his parents, John and Elizabeth Ducsai and his brother Richard Ducsai.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 26 from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm at the John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Road, Middletown. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, October 27 at 9:30 am at the funeral home. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered on Saturday, October 27 at 10:45 am at Mary Mother of God Church, 19 Cherry Tree Farm Rd., New Monmouth. Burial will follow at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown.
