Sergeant (Ret.) John L. Linck Jr.

Sergeant (Ret) John L. Linck Jr., 53, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014. Born on Aug. 26, 1960 in Camden, John graduated from Paul VI High School, Haddonfield in 1978. John then moved to Barnegat Light, where he spent several years working in the commercial fishing industry and with the Barnegat Bay Dredging Company. Following his dream to go into law enforcement, John honorably served his community as a Police Officer with the Stafford Township Police Department for nearly 20 years. During this time, John earned his Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice from the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey in 2007. John was especially proud of his involvement and achievements with the K-9 unit, earning multiple awards with his canine partners. For his courage and dedication to the community, the Stafford Township Police Department awarded John the Medal of Merit, the Valor Award 200 Club, and the Medal of Good Conduct.

John is survived by his mother, wife, three daughters, and four grandchildren. An avid musician, John was passionate about playing keyboards. A sports enthusiast, John loved watching the Miami Dolphins, and he was dedicated to staying physically fit. Friends and family will forever remember John for his unwavering strength, honor, and loyalty. Following his cremation, a memorial service will be held for friends and family. For those wishing to honor John's service to the community, the family requests a contribution in John's name be made to the .
