Sophie A. Kowtko-Bleach (nee Krajewski), 86, of Lavallette, entered eternal peace on Thursday May 16, 2013 surrounded by her loving family after a long illness at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. She was born and raised in Jersey City. She permanently moved to Lavallette in 1968, where she summered since the 1950's. Sophie was a devoted mother and homemaker. Always family oriented she loved and adored her cherished grandsons, Marc and Patrik. Sophie became a silent victim of the Sandy Disaster. Her Lavallette home was flood damaged and she lost all her personal belongings. She was never able to return to her earthly home but now will be at peace in her home in heaven. Her memory will live on in our hearts and in Lavallette. She was a parishioner at St. Pio of Pietrelcina RC Church, Lavallette. Sophie was a member of the Seaside Chapter of Deborah and a member of the Women of the Moose, Ortley Beach, Chapter 1248. She is predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Lenora Krajewski; her 1st husband, Alexander Kowtko; her 2nd husband, Anthony Bleach; her brother, John Krajewski; and her sisters, Rose Compitello, Stella Klich, Josephine Thurnau, and Jean Panasuik. Surviving are her beloved son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Linda Kowtko of Eatontown, NJ and beloved son, Robert Kowtko of Port Charlotte, FL; her two beloved grandchildren, Marc and Patrik and her sister, Dorothy Perrin of Lavallette. The family will receive relatives and friends Sunday May 19, 2013 from 4-8pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 995 Fischer Blvd., Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday May 20, 2013, 10am at St. Pio of Pietrelcina RC Church, Lavallette. Burial will follow to Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sophie's memory to the Seaside Chapter of Deborah Hospital Foundation, P.O. Box 820, Browns Mills, NJ 08015.
