AGE: 90 • Manasquan

William V. von Bulow, age 90, of Manasquan, NJ died Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013 at home with family by his side. He was born in New York City, New York and raised in Queens, he lived in Oyster Bay, Long Island, Cranford and Sea Girt, before moving to Manasquan 15 years ago. He was the Owner and the President of Kavon Filter Products, Cranford, NJ retiring in 1989. He served as Vice President of Cranford Dramatic Club, President of Cranford Swimming and was a member of their Board of Governors. He was a member of the Manasquan River Golf Club and in 1991 was the Seniors Championship Finalist. He proudly served in the US Navy Aviation Cadet V-5 Program in 1942. While in service attended RPI, University of Tennessee, University of Georgia, graduating from Naval Air Training Center, Pensacola, Fl. in 1944. Honorable Discharge from US Navy in 1956 as Lieutenant.

He was predeceased by his sister, Catherine Shay. He is survived by his beloved wife, I. Eleanor nee Gerhardt von Bulow. Devoted father of Douglas and his wife Linda of Wall, NJ; his four daughters, Carolyn Dittmar and her husband Nelson of Cranford, NJ, Gale Phillips and her husband Wynn of Ocean, NJ, Nancy Pflug of Clark, NJ, and Laura Bernacchi and her husband John of Howell, NJ. He also leaves 12 grandchildren, Peter, Bethany, Courtney, Adam, Emily, Jamilee, Dustin, Kelli, Kristy, Michael, Marc and Alyson.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Sunday, November 17, 2013 from 2 to 5pm at Orender Family Home for Funerals, 2643 Old Bridge Road, Manasquan. A funeral service will take place at 4:30pm on Sunday. Interment Private.
