Arnold M. Steiner, 99, of Chandler, AZ, passed away on April 28, 2013. Born in New Kensington, PA, he graduated Indiana University in PA in 1935. He was a veteran of WWII and served as a captain in the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers and was awarded the Bronze Star. In 1942, he married Lillian Jonisch, who passed away in 1990, and in 1990, he married Rayetta Kadet, who passed away in 2008. His son Richard Aaron and step-son Richard (Carol) Kadet also preceded him in death. He worked for 34 years for George A. Hormel & Company, most of which as the District Manager in Washington D.C. Upon retirement in 1976, he was a docent at the Smithsonian Natural History Museum and at the Washington National Zoo and upon relocating to Arizona, was a docent again at the Phoenix Zoo, as well as having students learning English through the Literacy Foundation. Survivors include daughter Rebecca Jean (Brian) Murray, step-sons Jeffrey (Helen) Kadet and Theodore (Gaye) Kadet, 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild on the way. Memorial services will be held Thursday, May 2nd at 1:30 pm at Sinai Mortuary, 4538 N. 16th St., Phoenix, AZ 85016.
