Albee, Carl Dwaine
91 of Glendale, Arizona passed away peacefully on January 30, 2013 at Palm Valley . Carl was born in Mendota, Missouri on July 31, 1921 to Parker and Edna Albee. His family moved to Wyoming when he was a young child. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy the day after Pearl Harbor and served 5 years on the USS Salt Lake City. He married the love of his life, Elsie Wittman in 1948 and they recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. He worked for the Billings Transit Company before moving his family to Arizona in 1962. He worked at Lockheed, maintaining fuel tankers for the U.S. Air Force. He and his wife spent many happy years at the cabin they built at Mormon Lake, Arizona. They also enjoyed trips on their motorcycle and with the Retread Motorcycle group. They were members of the Arizona Sunrise Sam RV Club and went on many outings to places of interest in Arizona. He was preceded in death by his son, Carl Duane Jr., his parents and all his brothers and his sister. He is survived by his wife, Elsie, daughters, Linda Bryce (Bill) and Lynette Rapalas, six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He was also loved dearly by his nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. A memorial service will be held at the National Memorial Cemetery at 23029 N Cave Creek Rd, on Monday, February 11, 2013 at 2:30 in the afternoon. In lieu of flowers contributions to , 1510 E. Flower St. Phoenix Az 85014.
