Browning, Charles M. "Charlie"
Charles M. Browning ("Charlie") 88, of Peoria, AZ passed away on March 31, 2013. Charlie was born in Rosiclare, IL on May 20, 1924. He served two tours of duty in the US Army during WWII and the Korean War and saw action in both the European and Philippines theatres. He graduated from the University of Missouri, Rolla with an under-graduate degree in Engineering and received a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Arizona State University. He worked over thirty five years in the Aerospace industry, including thirty two years with Garrett/Allied Signal. Charlie had many friends throughout his life and greeted everyone with a wink and a smile wherever he went. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents Russell, Sr and Ruth and his brother, Russell Jr. He is survived by his wife Bernie, sons David (Karen) and Don (Claudia), grandchildren Morgan, Jacob, Joshua, Alex, Lucas and Cole. A memorial gathering will be held in his honor at Union Hills Country Club in Sun City starting at 1:30 PM on Sunday, April 14, 2013. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the , 1510 E. Flower St. Phoenix, AZ 85014.
