Fickes, Charles R. Jr. "Chuck"
59, of Las Vegas, was taken from us unexpectedly on Jan. 18th, 2013. He was born Dec. 6th, 1953 in Baltimore, MD, a son of the late Charles R. and Mildred Fickes and raised in Phoenix, AZ. Chuck retired after 33 years of service with Lloyd's Refrigeration as a pipe fitter with the Local 525 and had also served our country in the U.S. Air Force. Chuck always had a smile on his face. His passions included spending time at the dunes with his toys, family & friends and always lending a hand to others. He was loved by all. He will be remembered for his sense of humor. He is survived by his beloved wife, of 34 years, Rosario; sons, Edgar and Charles "Charlie" Fickes III; daughters, Michelle (David) Creighton and Rosemarie (Jeremiah) Johnson; brother Richard Fickes; sister Linda Heaton; grandchildren, Ajahzi, Alexis, Brendon, Jeremiah Jr. and Aaliyah. Services will be at 10:00am Thursday, Feb. 7, at Southern Nevada Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd., Boulder City, NV 89005. A celebration of his life to follow at the Fickes residence.
