Donald William Goble of Sun City West, Arizona was called home to heaven on April 29, 2014 at the age of 89. He was born in Winamac, Indiana on May 23, 1924. Don was a Staff Sargent in the Army during WWII as apart of the 66th Infantry Division and was a survivor of the sinking of the S.S. Leopoldville. He later began working for Arco and married Mildred Jean Strahl in 1949. Don lived his life for the lord and was an active member at church. Don eventually retired to Sun City West, Arizona in 1982. While in Arizona, Don played softball, golfed, volunteered, and served for ten years on the Sun City Sheriff's Posse. Don was preceded in death by his parents, Ruby and Lester Goble; sister, Elma Lemeron; sister, Lucille Rief; brother, Robert Goble; and loving wife, Mildred Jean Goble. He is survived by his son, Ronald Goble (Donna); sister; Evelyn Powers; granddaughters, Nicole Bradeen (Aaron) and Christy Simon (Chris); and four great grandsons. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 4:00 pm at Glendale Nazarene Church, 5902 W. Cactus Road, Glendale, AZ.
