Greer, Dudley E.
72, of Litchfield Park, AZ. passed away on August 9, 2014 in Newport Beach, CA. Owner of Greer Farms in Cashion, AZ. since 1969, Mr. Greer was instrumental in the farming industry in producing potatoes that are shipped across the United States as well as many years of raising cattle and growing corn, cotton, wheat, roses and various vegetables. He was born to the late Horace and Maurine Greer in Ontario, CA. on March 18, 1942. Dudley received a BA in Agricultural Business from Arizona State University in 1964. From there he joined the United States Air Force out of ROTC and went into training to fly the F4's. He was then sent to Vietnam in 1965-66 completing 100 missions before coming home to teach in the T38 for a year. He was awarded 5 Flying Metals in his military career. His love of flying began when he soloed at age 14 and received his pilot's license.
In 1969 his love of the land brought Dudley back to Arizona where he began his farming career and where he and his wife, Judi raised their children.
Dudley 's work ethics enabled him to run successful businesses while helping others to establish theirs. Dudley loved boating where he was passionate for competitive fishing. Mr. Greer is survived by his beloved wife Judi Ollila Greer and his four children, Chad Greer of Litchfield Park; Sheresa Chiccarella (Joe), of Huntington Beach, CA; Breanne Taylor (David), and grandson, Kingston of Temecula, CA.; and Derek (Rory), of Dana Point, CA., two sisters: Donna Rudolph (Sam Hale), Julie Atchison (Don) of CA. and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be in Newport Beach,CA. at later date. Donations can be made to the Phoenix Children's Hospital Foundation and to include in Memory of Dudley E. Greer. Address is 2929 E. Greer Family I was very sorry to hear of Mr. Greer's passing. I knew Mr. Greer through my employment at Pan American Underwriters Insurance Agency.
He was a great person & businessman. His company provided many jobs to lot of people that otherwise may not have had an employment opportunity. He was fair & just.
The agricultural community has suffered a great loss.

Greer Family, we met a few summers during the Treasure Island vacations. Our kids played together on the beach.
