Carter, Dupre
85, of Phoenix passed away on Monday June 11, 2012 at home after a short fight with pancreatic cancer. Dupre was a beloved son, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his granddaughter Shannon (Angel) ; her husband Carlos (whom he adored): his great-granddaughters Reyna, Andrea, Raquel and Angelica (the loves of his life): his son Dennis: his Mother, lil-brother and sisters, their husbands and wives and nieces and nephews back home in South Carolina whom he couldn't wait to go home and see each summer. Dupre was born and raised in St. Mathews, S.C. and joined the Marines right out of high school. He served in World War II and the Korean War. He married his sweetheart Gail and had three sons Dennis, George and Johnny. They moved to Phoenix after he retired from the Marines and worked for Ramada Inn as an Executive until his retirement in 1990. He was a Marine at heart and could not retire and went on to work another 16yrs for Fry's Food Stores until his passing. He truly is an inspiration and the Best Man we ever knew or will know. He gave up his life to raise his granddaughter and that will never be forgotten. A Marine at heart, SEMPER FI. A memorial service will be held on Monday June 18th, 2012 at Advantage Maryvale Chapel 6901 W. Indian School Rd at 10:00 am till 11:30am and will proceed to graveside service at Greenwood Memory Lawn 719 N. 27th Ave.
